Honestly, I doubt there is going to be any matchmaking changes. I'd assume it would be too difficult to make up algorithms that search for a perfect match, mainly because there's a lot of different variables like level, rank, win/loss ratio, k/d ratio, connection, etc.
This is more than likely bungie either not paying attention, not telling us why they can't/won't fix it, or they have been working on it and they just haven't told us yet.
Not trying to defend/bash bungie, this is just speculation. I'm just trying to come up with something better and more original than "bungie is too lazy to fix their game"

Editado por LordShaxx: 12/2/2018 1:23:10 AMWhats more likely is that the playerbase is dieing off, causing matchmaking algorithms to not function properly and a bigger fraction of the remaining players to be average or better. And those average+ players tend to play in fireteams and curbstomp the newbies. This is the problem when mm favours good connection over skill. It's only gonna get worse as the season progresses. People get stomped too much and leave the game, then the next layer in the pyramid starts getting stomped. And so on. The only way to prevent this exodus of pvp is if a major update comes to D2 that attracts new players from all skill levels.

Hmmm... My concern is that if they switch from connection to skill, then people will be complaining about connection issues. Honestly, it's going to be an endless cycle. It's tough to decide what's the right thing to do in order to optimize this game for everyone.

Exactly. They tried a mix of sbmm and cbmm and people were still lagging their balls off in every lobby. Whatever they do, pvp is -blam!-ed beyond repair and Bungie know it. The sandbox team is a fail, their cheap p2p system is a fail. They wont be able to fix it anytime soon.

I wonder if Bungie would have to write these algorithms themselves though. Aren't there other games with codes and logic at least similar enough to warrant a copy and customization/adaptation of what they have? I can't imagine Destiny is unique to such a level that everything has to be made from scratch , right? Also on the bashing thing: I wouldn't get invested in these matters so much if I didn't actually care. I can see that Destiny could be so much more with tweaks on the right spots. I'd like to see the game being everything it could be. It's just the fact that it's not that makes me so frustrated.

Agreed. I've been playing since Y1 of D1 and it sucks when this game suffers because of things like this. This game had a lot of hype and potential, but how the game has been managed has really hindered that potential. I think bungie should take after the devs of successfull games like warframe and... (disgustful cringe) fortnite. Those 2 games would have gotten nowhere if it wasn't for the devs' genius business model and attention to what the players want. And bungie has been trying to give us what we want, but they haven't done enough to convince us that they really are. Now the game I've been enjoying for so long is suffering. That's really frustrating, especially with all the time and money I've put into it. Nonetheless, I still enjoy the game. The best thing to do is to balance the amount of PvP and PvE you play. Personally, I've been able to enjoy the game a lot more.

No body really plays war frame

Actually it's pretty popular https://www.ign.com/articles/2018/03/13/warframe-player-count-statistics-5th-anniversary Seems like you're making assumptions.

According to this, only about 8.4 million people are playing D2 https://www.metabomb.net/destiny-2/news/how-many-people-are-playing-destiny-2

I should probably take breaks as well. A least every once in a while. Might be better for health and, at least partially, reignite some sparks for the game.

It also helps from leveling up too fast and then having nothing to do. While I'm waiting for Black Armory to drop, I'm playing Dark Souls 3 so that I don't get bored or other stuff.

There is a game I have been waiting for, for a long time even. But sadly it's not out yet. Well, I can always go back to reading as a hobby to bridge the gaps between destinies.
