Both of these seem to have phantom bullets where your reticle is on the enemy, but the damage doesnt register. Especially 750 rpm smgs. These need to be fixed AND they need a buff. A shotgun ape can run at your from a fair distance and if you're an average player using an smg or sidearm that shotgunner can shoot you twice faster than you can kill them. Buff side arms and smgs

Hell no. Sidearms are fine right where they are lol. SMGs, sure.

1 RespuestaI have a smugglers word that out DPS’s any other primary that’s not a shotgun or sniper. You have to be at the right range, but once you are it will melt anything.
-
Sidearms are better than some shotguns. Never had a problem using mine. Those 750 SMGS though...yeah they've never worked right.
-
Yes sidearms need a SLIGHT increase to help us with the apes. Please. Im not talking wormwood. More like Ironwreath. If you go for wormwood, I dont mind the range being dropped a bit.

1 RespuestaMy Stochastic Variable smg is pretty darn good.

7 RespuestasI would argue the sidearm buff. Those things seem to be D2's dirty little secret right now because everyone is busy with shotguns, snipers, and fusions (molesto). There's several very nasty sidearms right now, and they can get even nastier with the right rolls.
-
It's interesting seeing this, especially at the cusp of Last Word, the second most crutchiest gun of D1, coming back. Side arms and smgs are gonna have an even smaller place in the game with TLW making its return.
-
Remove smgs. They have no place
-
1 RespuestaThey both have some of the highest kill times they good as a SMG user I can say you gotta learn to play them.
-
Same for scout rifles. Same for PvP and PvE. Pulse somehow always better.

1 RespuestaSidearms are fine and work pretty well as finishers, which is what they`re for. SMGs, however, definitely need a buff. The change to Crucible damage, where precision damage was buffed but bodyshot damage left unchanged, did not do SMGs (or Auto Rifles for that matter) any favours. Because SMGs tend to be weak in the stability department, getting headshots with them is not easy, especially up close where their damage is at its best. A buff to SMG bodyshot damage would definitely be welcome. Maybe extend the favour to some Auto Rifles as well, especially those in the rapid-fire archetype.

2 RespuestasSide arms are probably fine. Buffing SMGs makes sense for consoles but could cause problems on PC.
-
Sidearms do not need a buff at all, they're already very effective. SMGs need a stability buff, they're not in a useable state right now.
-
3 Respuestasthey both need extremely massive buffs tbh its annoying how incompetent they are compared to every other gun in game

7 RespuestasOne Word. AKIMBO

Umm sidearms are alrdy really good. Smg I can see needing some work.
-
Cant say much about smgs but sidearms melt apes especially smugglers word give that a go
-
Side arms are fine and need no changes. Smg's though, those are completely useless and need something done so they can be viable.
-
SMGs? Absolutely. But Sidearms... I have a The Last Dance with Rangefinder and Full Auto. Shotguns don't stand a chance.
-
1 RespuestaBuff sidearms, yes, but just remove SMGs all together.
-
SMGs yes Sidearms no smgs need to do at least over 10 damage at point blank including aggressive sidearms do 25-30 and 35-40 on crits
-
1 RespuestaIkelos SMG is a 750 right? That thing is still a beast
