Lets play - Break it Down
Way to go bungie. Once again you ruined this game with lunas howl - (Why? by putting in a handcannon that some people will grind for and possibly obtain?)
Not everyone can get it and it has flooded quickplay - (Why? well, yeah... i cant see the point in grinding for something and not using it now do i?).
It is the most toxic hand cannon ever - (Why? if someone shot you with a shotgun it would be the most toxic weapon at that moment. i think you need to understand what the word toxic means in the context you are trying to put it).
How about you stop giving people these overpowered guns (GIVE? - literally, NO one Woke up and had a Luna's in their Postmaster - man you must have lost it when G-Lance was Meta and you could get it from a Xur on Certain weeks)
and keep all guns the same. Level the playing field (SO,... in other words you want crutches and a participation medal?)
I don't have a team good enough to get the neta gun (META, the word is META, and your clan literally states that they are the team in the corner with all the dead Ghosts at their feet..., maybe find another clan?).
How is that fair to people like me? (there are a lot of people that got that gun doing it solo)
Or restrict the gun purely to competitive, that's where these scrubs get it anyways (once again, i think you need to look at what the word scrub means).
I am done and uninstalling destiny 2 today (no your not, you know you will be back).
Thanks for nothing Bungie (cool story)

I'm all good with pinnacle weapons, if they are niche but cool. I have lunas. It literally outperforms every gun. Faster ttk. (But it requires precision).... your point? Every gun requires precision, and for doing the same thing with this as any other, it demolishes. I wouldnt mind if this gun was exotic, but it isnt which opens your exotic slot for more cheesy shenanigans. This isnt a meta because of ease of use or a gun having a slight perk advantage over another, it's a forced meta where one/ two guns are literally better than every other gun. The only things that truly compete agree pulse rifles because of their insane flinch and range. I believe pinnacle weapons should be trophies like D1 trials. Those weapons become part of the meta because they could hold their own in certain ranges but werent particularly OP compared to other weapons. They were pinnacle weapons, decent in the meta, but never dominating the meta and becoming broken.

I think you're missing the point.. I am a decent PVP player with a k/d of 1.75 and I play this game mainly for PvP. Not good, not bad, just decent. I can aim a gun and with a hand cannon I can get head shots. Fact of the matter is, unfortunately for me, I don't have the time to grind for Luna's howl (work, girlfriend etc.). But even with a good Trust or the Ace of Spades I can land every headshot I want, but if my Luna's Howl opponent does the same, I will lose the gunfight. That right there my friend, is a prime example of an unfair advantage. There will always be a "meta" in whichever way possible. But with the graviton lance at least everybody had access to it and had the possibility to use the meta. People who do not have the time to grind for Luna's Howl, are left behind and practically are set at a (too) big disadvantage in Crucible. There simply is nothing to counter it and that's why it is unfair. Whichever way you put it, this needs to be corrected. There is another big disadvantage and that is that Luna's Howl in general will only be obtained by good players that have the time to grind. Average players or players who do not have the time to grind, will not get it. so average players who are already struggling in crucible will stop playing, because the gap just gets to big for them. In this perspective, it is in everbody's interest if there is a level playing field, in the sense that a Luna's Howl can be countered by other weapons that are easier to get. I'm not crying or something, I still hold my own in crucible, so please don't start with arguments like "crybaby" or something, because the truth is, all the Luna's Howl users just want to keep their unfair advantage. By the way: Other discussion, but Luna's Howl is at the level that every gun in D2 should be at imo. I wish every gun in D2 would kill that fast, cause that would actually mean that shotguns can only be used in close quarters and shotgun rushers will get punished for sprinting at you in a straight line, without you being able to counter them with you're primary.
-
Not true at all. AoS, trust, Duke and other hc's can and do compete with Lunas and NFs, but you just havent tested it out enough to know that other guns are still optimal and viable to use at various ranges yet.
-
Ace of Spades beats it in range so if you fought at longer distances against a guy with luna, you should win (especially with memento mori buff and high cal rounds causing flinch)
-
You supposedly don't have enough time to try to get Luna's but you do have enough time to play 35 Quickplay matches in one day. Mmmmm hmmmmm...
-
Your ace of spades will not get beaten by Luna with 3 headshots. Not from range. Ace will outrange it every time. At range ace has advantage, up close Luna will have advantage.

Editado por tiddles451: 11/26/2018 5:24:16 PMits hardly unfair, you did not put the time into destiny like your opponent did, they play more, they earned lunas (unless they got a carry, which definetly should be banned). Average players can still get redrixs broadsword, which is still a very solid weapon.

Editado por Guardian3681: 11/26/2018 2:12:48 PMDon’t take this as a shot but you have a 1.75 KA/D and a 1.2 KD. Still well above average but saying you have a 1.75 KD is disingenuous. Also as far as time constraint I can relate. I’m at college most of the year and cannot play destiny at all. Only time I play is during breaks so can only play about 6 days every 5 months. There absolutely is time to do it if you really want it.

Editado por Happy Happy NL: 11/26/2018 4:03:09 PMThe whole new K/D thing is whack.. kills getting stolen everywhere.. Lately my K/D has also been going down because I like to use auto rifles and other thing than Trust and Ace of Spades. My K/D in D1 was also 1,6 or something like that. Regardless of K/D, I feel I am neither good nor bad at this game.

Lets break it Down. I am a decent PVP player with a k/d of 1.75 and I play this game mainly for PvP. Not good, not bad, just decent - Much better than Me on a Good Day, with those skills I am most definitely certain if you commit time to it, you can get Luna's howl. Fact of the matter is, unfortunately for me, I don't have the time to grind for Luna's howl (work, girlfriend etc.) - Most of us, in the Real world - has that, trust me. i am in SME in PM, so yeah. Yet, there are people with Full time Jobs, wifes, kids etc, who has obtained this Weapon. There simply is nothing to counter it and that's why it is unfair - anything with more range, that can stagger an opponent in my opinion, will outshoot a Luna. Range puts it at its disadvantage, if you don't hit crits, you don't proc the perk, its just a slightly more accurate version of the Trust. I'm not crying or something, I still hold my own in crucible, so please don't start with arguments like "crybaby" - I am not twelve, please, we are all adults here, i give you respect because you have a sensible argument. Fact is, the Luna's howl is Designed to be the weapon it is, as a Stepping stone to obtain Not Forgotten. there will be a barrage of Nerf posts from Luna players who cant get Not forgotten, requested the not forgotten to be nerfed. i am no PVP expert, you can go check my stats, i don't care, but i think the most times people get killed by a Luna's is if they face a skilled player heads on. Having the Luna's howl doesn't make you better at the game. in the Right hands, YES. but people know this, yet they still decide to challenge or choose their Fights / Lanes poorly. there are a lot of great guns in this game. i get killed by the Bygones more often than anything else.

<I am a decent PVP player with a k/d of 1.75 and I play this game mainly for PvP. Not good, not bad, just decent - Much better than Me on a Good Day, with those skills I am most definitely certain if you commit time to it, you can get Luna's howl.> I'm preparing myself to give it a try.. do you know if it is still obtainable when the next season starts? <Fact of the matter is, unfortunately for me, I don't have the time to grind for Luna's howl (work, girlfriend etc.) - Most of us, in the Real world - has that, trust me. i am in SME in PM, so yeah. Yet, there are people with Full time Jobs, wifes, kids etc, who has obtained this Weapon.> Then I commend you for the time you put in the game to get the gun. <There simply is nothing to counter it and that's why it is unfair - anything with more range, that can stagger an opponent in my opinion, will outshoot a Luna. Range puts it at its disadvantage, if you don't hit crits, you don't proc the perk, its just a slightly more accurate version of the Trust.> Range yes, I ried my go Figure for some time to encounter it, but that means you have to stay back more. If you think about it, it also is not a way to counter Luna's Howl, but to prevent Luna's Howl from engaging you, simply because you are out of range. But you are right, distance is the solution to not getting killed by Luna's Howl. <I'm not crying or something, I still hold my own in crucible, so please don't start with arguments like "crybaby" - I am not twelve, please, we are all adults here, i give you respect because you have a sensible argument.> Thank you, other Luna's Howl users -I feel- are less respectfull when I bring up my opinion. Although I should not hold that against every Luna's Howl user. <Fact is, the Luna's howl is Designed to be the weapon it is, as a Stepping stone to obtain Not Forgotten. there will be a barrage of Nerf posts from Luna players who cant get Not forgotten, requested the not forgotten to be nerfed. i am no PVP expert, you can go check my stats, i don't care, but i think the most times people get killed by a Luna's is if they face a skilled player heads on. That applies to everyone and I'm am really not arguing that I would destroy everybody if I had a Luna's Howl. But in my experience, we cannot deny on the other hand, that a lot of Luna's Howl players win a lot of engagements, only because they are using Luna's Howl. I agree with you about Bygones. Get killed by that a lot too. But I feel Bygones is more easy to obtain, and actually easier to counter. But that's my opinion. The difference between Luna's Howl and Not forgotten is range. I feel that people who get Not Forgotten, actually deserve it. The No Forgotten won't also bring unbalance, because there will not be a lot of them in crucible. Luna's Howl is difficult to get because of the grind but nonetheless obtainable by grinding a lot and it is "investing" crucible a lot more. I have nothing against Luna's Howl users to be clear, if I had one I would use it all the time, understandably, but I just feel there should be some way for me as a non Luna's Howl player, to have a decent chance to win an encounter against it.

I have a full time job, wife, and plenty of other obligations. I am an average at best PvPer. And yet I found the time to grind it out and get it. Mostly in the last 2-3 weeks solo. It's definitely doable. You just want to complain.
-
I don't "just want to complain".. why is every Luna's Howl player so personal in the arguments? If anything I don't want to complain, I'm not even complaining, I'm arguing a point. Doable for you doesn't mean doable for others. I cannot find the time to grind for it. Now that we have that out of the way, I am very curious to your response to the rest of my post. An actual reply on the actual content of my post would be appreciated.
-
So hear this out. I'm not a Luna's owner, and I don't know if I ever will be. I'm not great at PvP, and get killed by Luna's with some regularity. So your first argument sucks, about Luna's players being "so personal in the arguments." The reason they're personal is because they took the time and dedication to get the gun. You know... The same one you can't get because you AREN'T willing to put in the time / dedication. And don't give me this bull-crap about "I cannot find the time to grind for it." Why the -blam!- should that be ANYONE else's problem but yours? Clear the airwaves, dude. Go cry in your beer to other people, because the world is unfair and didn't give you exactly what you want, when you want it, without effort, and didn't penalize people who put in the effort.
-
Thanks for proving my point about being personal.. Don't feel your post justifies any need for a further response.
-
"Why is every Luna's Howl player so personal..." "I don't own Luna's Howl" "You proved my point." LOLWUT?
-
I'm sorry I misread your post, but why be so personal towards me, using terms like "cry in your", just keep the argument at a non personal level. I don't feel Luna's Howl users have to be personal and so defensive in a personal matter. I'm bringing arguments, not attacking anyone. Of course every Luna's Howl users wants their advantage. I'm not asking for a nerve or asking for an easy way for me to get Luna's Howl, I'm just asking for a way for me to have a decent chance to counter Luna's Howl. At this moment in time, anyone not using Luna's Howl is set at such a big disadvantage, that is practically suicide to encounter a Luna's Howl. I mentioned somewhere else in this topic Thorn. Thorn in D2 could 2 or 3 tap to the head and you could walk away because the lingering damage perk would kill the other player. EVerybody was complaining about it and it got nerfed. I never complained about it, because I could get into an encounter with Thorn with my Red Death Pulse rifle, and killing the other player would restore my health. There actually was a counter against Thorn. I don't feel there is such a counter against Luna's Howl. I am aware that this is just my opinion, but this beig a forum, I think there is no better place than to ventilate my opinion.
-
Ok, so because you can't come up with a strategy to counter it (which there are, by the way, if you search for them) doesn't mean that the advantage should be taken away from someone who earned it. Let's put it another way. Since you make (presumably) enough money to afford a console, and another person can't, well, we should just take your console away and give your money to that other person. It's all the same argument. That's my point. And your damn right I take it personal. The people who put in that effort DESERVE it. (Don't get me started on carries, though. I don't really agree with those, they're like cheating at solitaire.)
-
<Let's put it another way. Since you make (presumably) enough money to afford a console, and another person can't, well, we should just take your console away and give your money to that other person.> Uhm no.. that's entirely NOT what I'm saying.. Your analogy doesn't make sense at all. I'm saying that we should find a means to let someone else also play D2 on maybe a cheaper console. <It's all the same argument. That's my point.> It really is not the same argument.. I'm not saying that the people who use it, do not deserve it. I'm saying other people at least deserve a fighting chance with a weapon that comes closer to Luna's Howl and that is easier to obtain. As we stand, Not Forgotten is a 10/10, Luna's Howl is a 9.5/10 and the next best thing is an 8/10.
-
Literally could not have been said better
-
Yeah sorry not trying to be mean, but seriously. the logic behind some of these arguments are just Mindf*ckingly stupid.
