It depends. If it’s thanos from the movies he’d probably lose because the gauntlet is weaker in that. But comic book thanos with the gauntlet can beat a single guardian any day. But it also depends where the fight takes place in. The infinity gauntlet only works in the universe it was created in.

He bitch smack solar system busters. And people that can destroy black holes. Etc. He didnt need the stones to kill half of the universe just wanted to do it faster.

There are some forces (not many) in the marvel universe that make thanos look like a thrall. He probably could have wiped out half the universe with the gems, but only if they allowed it.

Actually he was wiping out half the universe by going around and destroying the races. It was just taking a long time. So he got the stones to speed things up. Galactus is one of those forces that can make thanos cuck down or Odin.
