Where you stand in history (poll over.)
The Dusk war has began and all must a side, so where do you stand?
[spoiler]This is regarding the new role play cannon forming of the vanguard vs the shadows [/spoiler]

3 RespuestasI stand as the end to both.

1) My main character (Warlock) stands for humanity and The City, but has always questioned the decisions of the Speaker and the Vanguard throughout the story. He is also unsure about whether the Traveler is a "good" force in the Universe (just like Toland, but not as crazy). Maybe in the future he will travel with the Shadows in order to study and use the Darkness together with the Light, with the only goal of protecting the City. 2) My Hunter kind of has his own agenda (just like any Hunter). When he met the Awoken in the Reef, on Destiny's main campaign, he felt a connection to the Queen and her people, and worked as a mediator between the Vanguard and the Awoken (since he is an Awoken). After Forsaken and seeing the weakened Vanguard, my Hunter has no wish to go back to the City, and want to finally declare allegiance to the Queen to serve her and her people. 3) My Titan is the typical City-Titan: He follows the Vanguard and believes on the Traveler. He would sacrifice himself in order to save the City.

Day 200. I havent left the Crucible in a [i]looooooooooooooong time.[/i] At this point I wouldnt be surprised if I saw a new Titan and Warlock Vanguard at this point, if the Vanguard still even exists. Ive been through so much Crucible that I have Daddy Shaxx rubbing my shoulders yelling "FIIIIIGHT FOREVER GUARDIAAAAAAAN!" Quite frankly I've heard so much of Shaxx I've become to believe he is this age's Traveler. Except this time the Traveler has become The Shaxx; the forever omnipotent voice in our heads as we grind Crucible every minute of our lives. REMEMBER. FIGHT FOREVER GUARDIAN!!!!

If you based all your knowledge soley on what the games mentions to your character in scanables and cutscenes, every gaurdian has little to no idea what's actually going on. Oh look a shield that shoots energy balls, I'll shoot it at that big Hydra! Or hey look it's that shield again I bet all my buddies can stand behind it and kill that big gate lord.... You get the idea 😂 It's like this whole world is going on around us and we just accidentally stumble into defeating enemies that are such a huge threat they are considered dieties with little to no knowledge of them. It's like a comedy not an action looter shooter. Atheon, Crota, Skolas, Oryx, Aksis, now robo Calus and more. The list just keeps growing of more and more fluke victories for the gaurdians

A machine that may or may not have murdered trillions on fundament for it’s own gain? [spoiler]In all seriousness, I hope that the traveller turns out evil. Or at least the line between light and dark is blurred to the point of becoming something we actually have to morally ponder[/spoiler]

I fight for whatever team is winning...jk, I trust no one and follow my own gut feeling...so 3rd option...whatever side I feel is fighting for what's right and just, like any "white knight" hunter should

The Traveller, the Vanguard, Shaxx, Saladin, the Factions, the Shadows of Yor, Shin Malphur, Rasputin, The Awoken and the Queen in particular, the Fallen, the Vex, the Hive, the Cabal, the Darkness. Just wipe this whole table clean.

If we were ever given the option, id attempt to live amongst the fallen of old russia or north america or wherever they are and ally with them, eventually becoming kell through brutal and ruthless force, than again try to take the city, but succeed. But that would be too cool AND complicated to write into an "mmo" rpg so it would never happen.

It’s like what Mara said, there is no light without darkness. We’re to harness it, we could coexist in peace. Take Mass Effect 3 for example. One of the options was to control the reapers, use what what meant for evil and use them for good.
