Last night during one of my worst experiences in my 5 years of playing I sat back and thought for a really long minute.
I looked back at all the ups and downs this franchise went through. The constant changes that led to what we loved in D1.
Then I thought about all of the memories I had made. Whether they were in Raids or Trials. I had more fun with this game than I had in any other video game and I’ve been playing games my whole life.
I sat there. And felt my heart start to break. My heart has been in this game all this time. And I feel that the same care just isn’t being returned to us by the Makers.
I love Destiny, and I mean that. I’ve been in love with it since I laid eyes on it at that E3 reveal so long ago. But now it’s as if the game I once loved is long gone. And the former days of glory are over.
Not only that, but the days when Guardians stood together. Now it’s very toxic.
So now I ask myself:
“Where is the love?”

For me, that declaration applies to Forsaken. Let's see what happens with the next expansion. If they continue on their current path, then great. Let's hope we don't get another Curse of Osiris. Having said all that... 1, If D2 had been released in its current format then there would have been no need for a comeback and we wouldn't have lost so many of our friends. 2, Forsaken started off great with the Barons and Uldren, but it was a bit of an anti-climax when it's all revealed to be a Taken comeback plot. Basically, The Taken Queen, in a nutshell. Fortunately the Dreaming City endgame redeemed it. Shattered Throne in particular is a triumph, imho. 3, I'm a little concerned that this close to the next expansion and we've had no reveal yet. I've got a horrible feeling that that little Thunderlord quest was a teaser; that we'll being going back to the Cosmodrome. And us D1, day 1 players will be charged money for the privelege. Prove me wrong, Bungie. Please. Tell me you're not going to continue to kick all of us console veterans to the curb in order to feed that huge new PC market.
