Hello, and thank you for your report. Here are some steps you can take to potentially solve the issue:
- Making sure you are always launching Destiny 2 from the Battle.net application
- Running both Destiny 2 and Battle.net as administrator
- Running Scan and Repair in the Battle.net application
- Deleting these cache / settings directories and then immediately running Scan and Repair:
o %PROGRAMDATA%\Battle.net
o %APPDATA%\Battle.net
o %LOCALAPPDATA%\Battle.net
o %APPDATA%\Bungie\DestinyPC
- Manually closing all Blizzard and Bungie apps in Task Manager, then restarting
- Resetting your Battle.net password

Editado por JoeEagle: 11/23/2018 2:41:15 PMThanks for your quick response, but after trying all of the options you have given, the “buffalo” error still appears after the first loading screen. Is there anything else I can do?
-
By chance, do you have a mobile hotspot available? If you do, can you try logging in once with the hotspot and see if you still get a BUFFALO error?
-
Are you suggesting trying to use a hotspot from my phone (off of a data plan)? Because I do not have a data plan so I cannot try that. Would a VPN be an alternate solution to troubleshoot this issue?
-
Yes, that is an alternate troubleshooting step you can try.
-
Hello. I was missing for a while because I was on vacation but I have returned now. The VPN solution does work. Now, since we don’t want the VPN to be the permanent solution, is there anything we can do with this information?
-
Okay, I will find a free VPN to try with and report back the result.

Hi, I tried everything that was listed, as well as everything that Battle.net suggested, redownloaded the game, and even a clean wipe of my computer, and I am still unable to play the game. I notice that all of the directions keep saying to make sure you log off any other device that is logged into this account, yet there is no way of me knowing if any other devices are using my account at the moment. Since that is the case, anyone should be able to log all of the accounts out, and this issue would be solved instantly. However, since I have not seen a single statement anywhere about the ability to do so, it forces my hand in saying that keeping all of my passwords in a notepad on my desktop would be safer than giving my banking information to Bungie.

You keep saying this but do you guys ever bothering going back to the threads? THIS CRAP DOESN'T WORK! Stop spouting the same unhelpful crap
