Strike bosses =/= a Raid Boss.
Unless you want to devalue raids to the level of strikes, thats a piss-poor comparison lol.

Doesnt matter in the least. Bottom line is that "like" strike bosses she IS DESIGNED without an immunity phase prior to damage. If youre so dense you cant realize this Im sorry. Its a poorly designed boss(for you. I personally enjoy melting) Fact of the matter is its a strat that operates within the encounters designed parameters. Not a "cheese" not a "glitch" and not an exploit If you have a problem with it than voice to bungie not to make bosses without immune phases. Calling it an exploit just makes you sound dumb
Its a poorly designed boss
See, you know you're exploiting design oversight. For all your insults, mental gymnastics and posturing, you still know this, but cant admit to yourself that you're cheesing. The fact that the legit method is called "LEGIT" speaks volumes. Well, I hope you actually learned to do it legit in case they do actually remove the ability to cheese her. I'd be fine. Would you?

Editado por Mara Sov’s Step Bro: 11/20/2018 9:48:07 AMIf youre gonna qoute me than quote me in entirity and dont cherry pick what I said to twist it in your favor (talk about "mental gymnastics". I said its a poorly designed encounter... "for you". Frankly the overwhelming majority of players dislike mechanic intense bosses and immunity phases. Its a large reason leviathan is considered one of the worst raids ever released in Destiny Youre really not one to talk about "mental gymnastics" Listen. Fact of the matter is the encounters designed without an immunity phase. Simple as that. Ill say it again. DESIGNED You could rationally post your disdain with said DESIGN and hope it doesnt happen again. Do something constructive. But you just want to cry and throw strawman arguments and label things exploits when theyre not Its things like that - calling this an "exploit" that makes nobody want to listen to you. Why would anyone want to listen to or even care of the opinion of someone who doesnt even understand what theyre talking about at the most fundamental level?
If youre gonna qoute me than quote me in entirity and dont cherry pick what I said to twist it in your favor (talk about "mental gymnastics".
You freely acknowledge that the encounter is poorly designed - that theres loopholes that we tale advantage of. Thats the thing, no matter what other disingenuous fluff you put around it, that language is very telling.
I said its a poorly designed encounter... "for you". Frankly the overwhelming majority of players dislike mechanic intense bosses and immunity phases. Its a large reason leviathan is considered one of the worst raids ever released in Destiny
On the subject of mental gymnastics, is that assumptions that I am a "LEGIT ONLY OR GTFO" person? I'm quite happy to meme her to death. Been meaning to Meme Transit her, then have multiple Titans Yeet into her face up top as a Coup de Grace. Fact is, as I said, I'm happy to acknowledge what I'm doing. Leviathan was disliked for lack of bosses and essentially having us, used to slaying gods, running on a hamster wheel for Space Caligulas entertainment. Have a look at Kings Fall - lengthy, highly mechanical throughout, acknowledged by many as one of Destinys best raid, if not the best.
Listen. Fact of the matter is the encounters designed without an immunity phase. Simple as that. Ill say it again. DESIGNED You could rationally post your disdain with said DESIGN and hope it doesnt happen again. Do something constructive. But you just want to cry and throw strawman arguments and label things exploits when theyre not
Just because something is designed doesnt mean it is intended. Crota Bridge cheese took advantage of bad design - jumping is by design, swinging a sword is by design, being able to stand on a tower is by design. None of that was intended, ergo it was a cheese. Similarly, we werent meant to all rush into a room and unload into her mouth (eyyyy). Thing is, I think you sorely mistake my botherdness towards this. Do I think this is a cheese? Yes. Is it bad cheese? No, not really. On the cheddar scale it just about registers as a babybel. Do I do it? Yes, if thats what the group wants. Do I think its funny she got railed with Edge Transits? GOD YES. All I'm saying is its a cheese, and it might be fixed. It also might not, as at the end of the day it requires high PL and correct gear and loadouts etc. By the time someones at that point, eeeeeh?
If they do change it though, the saltwave could rival the one when Xur sold Icebreaker way back when lol
Except it isnt a cheese and every example you've compared has been an exploit of the physics engine. So are you saying high damage is an exploit? Exactly what is the exploit here? Simply skipping the mechanics isnt an exploit. What is being exploited to skip them? I can definitively tell you the mechanism of exploit in an actual cheese. Pushing atheon isnt the exploit - exploiting the physics engine is Calus no adds isnt the exploit - screwing with the game server is No adds is the result of an exploit so please elaborate what exploit is being executed to skip Rivens mechanics
-
Exploiting poor design. Atheon wasnt exploiting physics, it was exploiting poorly designed boss behaviour. Both are done to achieve the same goal though - bypass the actual encounter for an EZ mode clear. Cheese is cheese, but it doesnt have to be a negative thing always. Thats cheating. Again, dont assume I'm sitting here frothing at the mouth for a change. I really dont care what happens lol. If they signal a fix I'm going to have a week of one-rooming her with anything I can lay hands on.
-
Poor design is subjective. As seen by the constant posts over the last year - people dont enjoy boss immunity. Id say its designed well. As I said... poorly designed "for you" Also yes it was exploiting physics. Atheon was never intended to be pushed. If Riven wasnt designed to be killed during final stand shed either have a threshold or a soft cap like surochi
-
Final stand is up top, not in the room buddy.
-
Well the wipe mechanic says otherwise
-
Final Stand is and always has been a DPS check at the end of the fight. Oryx, Aksis and now Riven. Again, you seem to be showing a lack of understanding of the intended encounter if you think the eye-pop wipe is a genuine "final stand".
-
So she isnt immune, casts a wipe mechanic and can take uncapped damage. Not a final stand gotcha.
-
Yep, as it wasnt intended for the fight to finish there and then.
-
Than why can she take uncapped damage and be killed if its unintended?
-
Why are there two rooms if we were intended to run into one?
-
Because low light players need to do mechanics in order to survive since theyre incapable of melting it fast enough. Every other raid boss in the game has an immune phases or buff mechanic prior to damage phase because they know well melt it otherwise. You can not say its a design oversight. Its designed this way for a reason
-
If its not an oversight, why are they re-evaluating it? If it was intended, they'd leave it that way.
-
You mean to tell me after 5 years of immune phases because they know well just melt otherwise is a design oversight? Like they just didnt know? They didnt know why they designed 5 years of raid bosses with immune phases and buff mechanics?
-
We're talking about Bungie, right?
-
The same Bungie that pulled D1Y1 and D2Y1 from the ashes, yes. The live team is not incompetent
-
They also have a lengthy track record of design oversights over that entire 5 year period lol.
