Disconnecting the internet cable, dashboarding to remove adds, glitching out of an intended zone, hiding in the back in an unreachable spot.. thats cheese.
The Riven DPS is what should happen once you are over powered for an event.
Last Wish was desigened to be a challange under 585
Anything over and you should 100% melt those bosses.
That's the power fantasy and what makes hitting max light a reward.
Go cry about your melted snow flakes some place else.

I guess this confirms Destiny's community is a bunch of cheesy nubs who want everything to be spoon-fed without having to actually try or be good at the game. Explains all the people paying for crucible guns, explains all the people trying to defend what is clearly a broken exploit because it means they can finally complete something in this game besides a public event. It's a RAID. It's meant to have MECHANICS. If you want to mindlessly hold the trigger at a boss, you belong in the strikes playlist. Raid is endgame activity meant to challenge a group and require teamwork and coordination, regardless of your light level. All light level should do is affect how much you do during your damage phase. Saying "hurr durr I'm 600 light so I'm a pro" is a horrible excuse for skipping 90% of an encounter's mechanics because you and your team are too incompetent to do them properly. If you think otherwise, that endgame content should just be a breeze that requires no skill or effort, then you prove my point. This. Community. Sucks. Ass.

Buddy, I know this is an old post and you probably don't care much about this topic anymore but I just want to say that I am 100% with you dude. What you are saying is so f u c k i n g true. This community has actually devolved into a bunch of braindead retards that just can't be bothered to do simple mechanics that make a final boss fight an ACTUAL FIGHT. I was so sick of Bungie not taking action that I straight up just quit the game cause there is absolutely no point in playing the game if Bungie is just going to sit back like little pussies because they don't want their little 12 year old kids who can't -blam!-ing remember an eyeball position to leave the game once they patch this cheese, because how else are they going to get their 1k Voices without sitting there and spamming left click like an autistic monkey. Bungie DID NOT intend for us to melt Riven's hp in 10 seconds. There is an OVERWHELMING ABUNDANCE of evidence to support this. But, like I said Bungie is just a bunch of little -blam!-ing pussies and they don't want to piss off the 90% of their player base that can't -blam!-ing describe a simple picture and remember an eyeball position that appeared 60 seconds ago. You're fighting the good fight buddy, it's a shame Bungie's developers have their heads too far up their asses to even listen and acknowledge it.
It's meant to have MECHANICS.
And those mechanics are supposed to be SIMPLE to learn SIMPLE to understand and SIMPLE to pull off
-
They are. Shoot her mouth when its orange, or bait her tentacle and shoot that. Look at her face and call out which eyes are lit up. Other room shoots her mouth for a bit, then pops the relevant eyes. Then you kill the Eye of Riven, one guy grabs the orb and calls out the symbol he sees, another jumps on the observation platform and tells them where it is. Up you go. Repeat on the next floor, then ascend. Stun 3 times up top, everyone takes 1 eye each, then you have the jumbo DPS phase and all pop eyes whenever you're ready. Run back to plates, descend and shoot zits. All it boils down to is stun, pop eyes, cleanse symbols ×2, stun ×3, pop eyes, pop zits. Not overly complicated tbh.
-
Says who?? it's ENDGAME content. Meaning you should be an experienced player by the time you're taking part in these activities. And Destiny's raid mechanics are EXTREMELY simple. Please, google any WoW or FFXIV raid if you want to see what actual raid mechanics look like.
-
says crota, atheon and aksis (kind of)
-
Don't forget Templar. That was EASILY the BEST Raid boss
-
can't remember, was he the teleporting hydra? (can't remember a lot of the D1 raids tbh)
-
Yes. Yes he was. All that was needed was to get the shield, kill the oracles before they kill you, get his shield down and damage him. Difficulty lay with the amount of ads spawning as well as Minotaurs (If we're going with the challenge route)
-
is riven crota? atheon? aksis? Nope. riven is riven. so let me get this straight. this game's community wants every raid encounter to: 1. take no time at all 2. be easy 3. be the same no wonder people make fun of destiny fans...
-
The entire raid is mechanics based already and a lot of players at this point are just doing riven 3 times a week fot 1k voices. The mechanics are complicated and 1 person can ruin the encounter so many want to finish it quickly for the loot. Oh and cluster is not a cheese it's a DPS check and you should be able to do that much damage at 600
-
What we want for raid encounters is 1. Less reliant on just mechanics for difficulty 2. More forgiving when a mechanic fails (Aka stop making us wipe after even the smallest fúck up) 3. Mechanics simple enough to teach someone Without confusion but have elements of the raid to provide a decent enough challenge to keep them on their toes. Why do you think people hated leviathan so much? Mechanics where straight up bullshit, You couldn't muster a decent explanation of the encounters without someone getting confused and the margin of error was practically non-existent. If you couldn't perform something with SURGICAL precision, it was a wipe.
-
Seriously, Leviathan raid is super easy now. Just about everyone understands all the mechanics. It took some time, some practice, and just the tiniest bit of -gasp- effort. But I doubt you'll find many people nowadays who will say that Leviathan is too hard or requires a godly amount of skill to complete. Surgical precision? No, you just have to pay attention to what's going on, maybe have a countdown if it requires everyone to do something at the same time. Why is people's answer to dumb things down rather than to rise to a challenge?

Editado por Rai: 11/19/2018 11:14:15 PMWhat would you have in place of mechanics which require teamwork and coordination (read: an attention span)? Just throw waves of enemies at you that you have to shoot on top of melting down a boss? How many times can they do that before every raid is just a re-skin of that last one? The raids all have very forgiving wipe mechanics, and you can generally -blam!- up most encounters at least a couple of times before you absolutely have to wipe. And, again, I think Destiny somehow picked up the wrong audience, which is the reason why people buy it and then complain about doing just about every activity in this game.
-
You can HAVE your mechanics, you can have different mechanics for different encounters, but there NEEDS to be a point where The design team says "This may be a bit too much, lets try tone it down, give more people an even playing field" Again, mechanics that are SIMPLE to follow, understand, and execute.
-
I mean the raid is by no means impossible to do. Hundreds of under-leveled (like 30 points under-level) teams had it finished by the end of the first week. People get intimidated when they have to look at an eye chart or a symbol list but it takes like 5 minutes to look at it and see what's going on. And the raid shouldn't be meant to be an even playing field. It should be endgame content meant for fireteams with solid teamwork and skill.
-
you asked for examples of simple boss mechanics, i gave you them. Also, THIS isn't WoW or FFXIV, this is DESTINY, a game that has never needed someone to study one encounter for a raid for an entire week. Now i don't care if this ever does get patched or not, as when i do try this raid i will try both "cheese" and "normal" strats.
-
Truth. This is why I play Destiny over WoW or XIV raiding. Its less complicated and more fun. I can wipe for 5 hours in Destiny teaching people and having fun or enter a raid blind and learn it in half an hour. Wiping 5 hours in XIV because 1 person stepped a bit too far left is not fun
-
what do you need to study for an entire week in order to do in destiny? please elaborate?
