You said you increased the nightfall weapon drop rates (BS) you said you added a modifier that increases our chances each time we don’t get it (BS) If that’s true then what’s the magic number. I really want to know. Because regardless of how completely SHITE my RNG is. It should not take 200+ Nightfalls to get 1 drop. I know everyone is going to say “you just have bad RNG” That’s fair to a certain point but it’s absurd when you run something over 200 times.
Yes 200+ to get my DFA and so far over 50 for the Osprey. You are making people NOT want to play anymore. I know it’s called a grind but doing the same mission over and over and over again isn’t a Grind it’s the definitions of insanity (Doing the same thing over and over expecting a different outcome.) You have got to do something to fix the abysmal drop rates in the Nightfalls.
I have a friend who has NEVER got one single nightfall weapon and he’s been playing since Vanilla D2. So tell me. Tell me how many times you expect us to run the nightfall over and over and over again to get one weapon.
One weapon that is preventing me from completing the Wayfarer Achievement. One weapon I will never use because you made it obsolete with the new weapons in Forsaken. You literally have sucked the fun out of this game for me by locking an Achievement behind a Nightfall drop that doesn’t ever drop. Or you watch people get it on there first run while you are sitting on attempt 73, 97, 104. How the hell do you justify that?
In D1 the nightfall weapons were locked behind chests and you had a chance to get one of the weapons or armor pieces. You took that away and gave us Skeleton Keys which gave us a 100% Guarantee if we had a skeleton key to get one of the weapons or armor pieces. So grinding those nightfalls was fun. We had random rolls and each time we had a chance at getting something. Now the weapons are static rolls and you have made it so purely based on RNG that your losing people on the daily.
I have been a supporter of this game and your company since Beta D1. I defend you at every turn and I always say give them a chance to fix it. For the most part you have. Forsaken is a beauty. It’s no Taken King but it stands on its own. But for gods sake please change or fix the drop rates in the nightfalls.
I am not the only one complaining about this. Reddit is filled with posts like this. You can google search “Braytech Osprey Not Dropping” and get a few hundred results. Before you lose anymore guardians, before Activision complains again fix this part of the game.
Please. I don’t want to stop playing over something stupid like this but my patience is wearing thin.

1 RespuestaThey did increase your chances of getting it and here is the exact math I just made up to prove it! When you run the nightfall for the first time and get the highscore your percentage of getting the drop is 0.00000000001% After running it a hundred million times your chance of getting it is now 0.00000000003% Like it or not, technically it is a "higher chance" 🤔 Bungie Math

2 RespuestasEditado por GouldBerg988: 11/20/2018 9:25:54 AMTo put this post into perspective: i`m in the same boat as you. Grinding for the Osprey bc of wayfarer. Have only like 10+ completions because I´m doing it solo and it takes around 25 minutes now, but I will eventually give wayfarer up if running the nf will get a chore. I´m still convinced that every seal needs to have some rng put into it, otherwise, we will get a situation like with the Luna/Not Forgotten or whisper: Every time Bungie made a surefire way to get something in their game, players will either cheat, cheese or employ cheeser and cheaters to get these items. Their will be paid carries, which deavluate the whole experience. The argument of many cheesers and cheaters: In a PvE Experience how does that influence your experience? I can name a few: the most improtant which is, once a cheese, "strategy" is found everyone is required to do it this way. (There are literally dozens of posts about Last Wish Clustercheese on this forums). Its also a recurring theme in destiny, it started in VOG with Templar and Atheon "Strategies" and Bungie has since Crota Cheese stoopped to patch these things thus allowing Players practically to "defile" their endgame experience. Back to the Seal-Problem: Gamers have imo the false sense that this franchise is a "Game" like in the old days, where everything was achievable through either grind or skill. Welcome to the brave new world of Live Services (which Destiny always aspired to become). Its no Space Opera, but a Space Sitcom, where Activision expects Bungie to come up week by week with new things for the customers to grind for or buy it from Tess. This aspect will become even more preavlent in D3. If you have the obsessive need to "complete" a game like in the old days, you are out of luck, Bungie will always dangle a carrot like "osprey" in front of you, to keep you coming back So now you have imo 2 options: 1. Either you overcome this habit and wisen up and "just relax" a bit and take a break and "accept" that RNG is "fair" , meaning "blind", meaning it does not care if you did osprey 100 times already or if it your first. For example after grinding the nf this week I´m legit thankful that it will rotate out. 2. You quit for good, bc Bungievision is not done with you yet, like you mentioned before, it will drive you literally "insane", it will become a RL abusive relationship. PS: I upvoted your post, bc I can totally empathize with your position , even if I have a different opinion about the bigger picture.

Now then let’s put all this energy towards something useful eh ? Rather than complain to help someone in need #spreadpositivity www.fh.org

2 RespuestasYou ran it 58 times not over 200.

1 RespuestaHow about I downvote this so Bungie doesn't see your profanity-laden rant.

Editado por zJDz: 11/21/2018 4:39:31 PMD1 was better where a reward would drop like every 1-10 boss kills except it was randomly rolled so it might be a god roll or it might be garbage.

3 RespuestasFirst of all if your friend has been playing since vanilla and not got a nf drop then he either barely plays or is complete trash. Secondly do the high scores for farming, it makes no sense to do 0.15x when you can do it at 4.5x and still be higher than recommended light level and it drops way more. I was doing high score nf going for 250k+ for strange terrain and I got 7 rocket launchers out of 12 attempts and all were over 200k. You are seriously just wasting your time doing a nf with a 3-5k score

2 RespuestasI don't know if I 100% agree with everything here but my frustration is similar. So to put things into perspective Bungie and I know you can look at users accounts to validate, I've scaled back from being a hardcore player to a casual. Even so, I'm enroute to grinding harder than I did in D1 and I have a higher completion rate (weapons, armor, activities) in the entirety of D1 than I currently have in the 2nd year of D2. I complete milestones, contribute to my clans weekly goals, and most recently have been grinding pvp to finally obtain my redrix. I'm not a pvp guy so that crap alone was hard. Even so I only have 1 character that I've been grinding and I'm only ~570. I literally just started my other 2 characters. I know I digress but bare with me. I know it's called a grind, I know you guys don't post stuff and make announcements unless it's true, so with that said, there's more tweaking that needs to be done. You have to figure out a way to look at individual players RNG, statistics, and drop rate and put them into buckets/containers. Metrics is how you base the success and this should be part of the system you have in place for player satisfaction issues. I actually had a similar issue in D1 when grinding for my pulse rifle (Grasp of Malok). I wrote to you guys then and magically I received it for the 1st time at the end of that week so I know this is possible. I haven't received an exotic weapon or armor piece aside from Forsaken aside from the Trinity Ghoul which I obtained the 1st week. Since then, I've only received year 1 exotics and to make it more specific, I've only obtained the ones I get from Xur so you can take RNG (drop rate scenario) out of the equation there. When it comes to nightfalls as the topic suggests, I've stopped running them. Why?, because it's a waste of time for little to no rewards for the specific loot. Alot of people (majority) from what I'm reading seems to have had better luck at running the different game modes however, that "luck" hasn't flowed to me. I know you can't please everyone, but hear me when I say this, MY RNG SUXXXXXXX AND I NEED YOU TO FIX IT. I LITERALLY DON'T PLAY ANY OTHER GAME. THE ONLY FREE TIME I HAVE I PLAY THIS GAME.. You have done by far a great job at solving the hardcore v casual players; I never thought that you had a problem with content but incentivise-ing the grind has been addressed; you have addressed the PvP and PvE balance; I absolutely love the time gated quests, reintroduction to lore and collectibles (which could still be tweaked tbh) ; and I thoroughly enjoy the game. Since going casual, I actually feel as if I'm missing out on the best year of Destiny thus far. By missing out I mean I have only spent 653 Hours grinding D2 in comparison to my 991 hours in D1 so there's your perspective. Solution Would I change my grind schedule if you created a mechanic to address the RNG, probably not, but if I saw an increase in my droprate when receiving a legendary or exotic, or even a catalyst specific to a NF,strike, or free roam that would be awesome. I'm not asking you to buff or nerf anything, the weapons and supers are fine (sure I think you all are biased towards Titans which are waaaaaaay over powered and too flexible vs other classes but w/e that's a different topic for a different day). Since Day 1 D1 you guys have had an issue with RNG and not creating a metric that deals with the grinders and their RNG falling consistently in the bottom pool (whatever that may be) is an issue. At a high level you can create a system that individualizes players loot pool versus RNG instead of pooling the players RNG together within an activity. By this I mean, my drop rate shouldn't be affected by the number of players on my fire team as well as the activity we're running. My RNG number and whatever new system you have put in place that calculates and increases my frequency for drops in "X" runs, should be tied to my grind and increases based upon my rate. Does it mean that every drop is going to be new, no. It means resetting after a drop, prioritizing the non-received loot pool above the remainder of the loot pool, and let RNG still do it's job. When you haven't received good loot after X- tries, your rng should be high enough, the non-received loot pool should be the only pool to choose from and eventually you get the gun/armor/catalyst whatever and then repeat. It's really not hard. I'm not a DEV but I do program (work on the security and network engineering side of the things) and I know I've simplified it but come on is it really that hard? Again I get what the OP is saying, and for the most part I concur, you can do something about this so please do. -Bimmabwoy

I stop playing just because of this, there sales are down like everything else in life. The grind is stupid to do over and over not to get a dam thing. This is not RNG , just a bunch of people sitting in a room going , look at all those idiots do the same thing over and over thinking oh yes it got to drop this time ( NOT GOING TO HAPPEN ).

1 RespuestaEditado por High Bonsai: 11/20/2018 5:26:08 PMI do 200+ thousand point runs first then speed run. I get them within 5 runs. Maybe try getting the threshold cap first

First run it for the 100k score or preferably higher . If you pull off closer to 200k . Then don the emblem with your fireteam drop a fireteam medallion and you’ll be getting your nf drop within a few runs . If your not doing it that way your just wasting your time
-
200K run should be top priority. Then speed runs with emblem. This dramatically increased drop rates in my experiences. At least get the 2nd highest threshold of 110K before you start speed running at .15x multiplier.
-
totally agree dude, did strange terrain like 50 times still havent got it.... ill have to wait 2 months until the nightfall is back and i wont get anything.....

Osprey 2nd run first time I have tried for a nf weapon seems ok

Editado por WulfPak666: 11/20/2018 5:34:01 AMBungie said it running the strike multiple times with no drop will increase your chances of getting it? The same Bungie that said Forsaken exotics will have a higher drop rate over stuff you already have and yet all.i keep getting are dupes when I finally do get Exotics? Basically when I see them put "you have a higher chance of getting" something it's pretty much this. Your chance of getting it as is: 0.0000000001% Chance of getting it after running a shit load of strikes: 0.0000000002% Technically, it is a higher % 🤔

Took me about 50 clears to get osprey. I was just starting to tilt when it finally dropped. Did it over the course of 3 nights and it really was awful. I would definitely say nightfall protection feels broken.
-
2 RespuestasYou should automatically get the drop after 10 completions. I think it's sick that people are doing the same thing over and over again, 20, 30, 40+ times. Why the development team find this acceptable is disgusting. I'm sure they wouldn't want to sit there for 5 hours playing the same nightfall over and over and not get the item. Either increase the drop rate, or introduce another way of obtaining these weapons. I'm dreading the next time The Corrupted is a nightfall because I need the Horror's Least... I don't want to be wasting hours and hours grinding it when I could actually be having fun playing this game.
-
And they want us to buy the annual pass......lmao......to experience more of this mess? Yeah........

2 RespuestasI just came here to complain too and I just did 11 times the Osprey nf and all I got is a couple cloaks. My best score is 180k

1 word: probability.
-
Some people get lucky with the drops, other do not. Destiny has always been a grindy game, almost for five years now. If you don’t enjoy it, go play something else.
-
Yah, I didnt read that book you wrote. Its RNG. So, even if they double the chance every time you dont get the drop, you may still never get the item. This is because even a half of a nano meter is still half a nanometer, it's not zero. RNG sucks mate.
