It's fine.
The lighting rod perk is meant for PvE; but you can shock your opponent behind a wall in PvP as well.

I agree it's a pve centric weapon. I just would like a little more consistency from it. Whether that's from the perk activating more often or something else I'm not really sure. Atm though it just underwhelms but maybe it's just me...

I think the perk sometimes doesn't proc, but its good beyond that maybe a slight damage boost with the perk, but not enough to OHK a guardian

I agree. Having a primary ammo weapon ohk would be terrible in crucible.
