New players aren’t staying for beatdowns.

Introduced my cousin and his friends to Destiny 2 on pc. There was a common theme amongst them- it didn’t feel good constantly facing opposition so far above them there was no chance to fight back. There’s only one chance to make a first impression and none of them are keen to continue the experience. With the upcoming “black armory” expansion there’s no better time to institute matchmaking which considers connection first and skill. The system would work simply. Find 12 players of good connection and distribute in a relatively equal fashion between the teams. New players won’t stay otherwise.

  • That's when you try to please streamers and 0.1%ers and turn off SBMM to give them easy wins and montage material. And to all ppl that say Crucible is not the only mode in the game I say yes, but it is also one of the first new players try out to get a "feel" for the new game. Well done, Bungie.
