Dont know what you are trying to say because you get exotic drops every week probably 5 times and out of those 5 you will get a forsaken exotic. And 5 drops/week is not even a lot if you play more than the average player.

RnG is luck. I'd rather have a definite path to earning my loot. Just by looking at our toons, we should have fairly similar play times. You say you have had 5 exotic drops per week, I've had 5 exotic drops since the Forsaken DLC (1 forsaken exotic). We are at the start of week 10, so by my calculations you have had at least 45 exotic drops to my 5 with similar play times. Then you have people that have 3 maxed toons that have probably played 3 times more than you have played that have still don't have a forsaken exotic. That there is all luck. Nothing earned there I'm afraid. If it was earnt I would have the same amount of exotic drops as you if I put in the same amount of time and effort. If it was earnt the people with 3 maxed toons would have had 135 exotic drops, since they put in triple the effort and time as you and I did, but they don't.

I get what you're saying, i am not the biggest fan of luck either. However exotics are not the reason i play the game, i play because i enjoy it. Aswell as the fact that this is a looter shooter, drops are random in similar games. There are also exoric quests in the game, but if every exotic would be behind a quest people would complain and they could not make them as fun or well made as they are.(ex. Whisper of worms)

I would much prefer exotics to be locked behind quests and achievements/triumphs. You should unlock base exotics that way. We have catalysts and random rolls that let's the hardcore continue grinding for something if they want to grind out the perfect exotic.

You ignored the fact that random drops is normal for a game like destiny. If random drops arent your thing you might have the wrong game. A tip for you if you dont like grinding for exotics, Dont do it. You will have a better time and you will still get them drop and be happier when they do because you wont be drooling at your screen expecting it.

Just because something is normal it doesn't mean the system can't be improved upon. At least my way would give all players a definite path to obtaining what they want and if they are short on time they feel at least the small amount of time they put into it gets them further with their loot goal. And it is a system that makes people earn their loot. No more, "how did you get that cerebus +1?" "Just did a Public event" No more people putting the time if they follow a path feeling ripped off for their time when someone who didn't put in any time gets the exotic. Current system is just lucky hand outs. You for example with your 45 exotics compared to someone with 3 maxed toons with no forsaken exotics is a prime example of hand outs that you're complaining against.

The reason i have forsaken exotics id because i have every single year one exotic, you doofus, you realize that the people complaining are ones that got on destiny 2 when forsaken launched, not before. These people feel that they have earned the forsaken exotics after their 20h game time, give me a break they just dont realize year one exotics are just as good
