For ppl who feel like not seeing that many Telestos:
Don't know where you are and whether you have played PvP recently or not, but from what I've been getting, every match starts with at least one Telesto on both sides, especially when in comp and playing against stacked teams (thanks Bungie) more Telestos would pop out. It's turning into Graviton 2.0 atm.
For ppl who thinks shotgun is worse and Telesto is a help in hand:
I kind of agree with you? I definitely want to see some shotgun changes to bring more varieties but, Telesto aping is worse than shotgun aping.
Shotgun mostly forces a close range combat, which would alert you not going into corners without checking radar and be cautious while aiming down sight, resulting as many ways to counter them. But a few can be effective to go against Telesto. It's a regular range rifle that can be fired at any occasion. You expected a gunfight that test your skills, but instead you got killed by someone who aim at your feet plus nearly 0 explosion Latency.
You eithet have Luna's Howl / Not forgotten & you shot first & you landed 3 precision perfectly, or you switch to Telesto as well, which I see a lot ppl do in the middle of the match.
For ppl who get angry for some reason:
This is just an opinion.
Before Edit:
Crucible is full of Wardcliff and Telesto right now, even if I can deal with Wardcliff users since heavy ammo is a objective that can be controlled, I can't beat Telesto.
Even if you did beat Telesto they just respawns with 2 more rounds to screw you then pick 2-3 more that you just dropped, there's not a proper counter-measure except to take out another Telesto and turn into the evil you never wanted to be.
But making Telesto a power weapon will change that, it's already a alt version of 1000 Voices if you'd say, why not keep it in the same slot that 1000 Voices stays? And by doing so, nobody will suffer the struggle with every match starts with Telestos' rain of hell. And players will have to choose either Telesto or Wardcliff to be their power slot, leaving energy slot for other weapons or fusions that requires actual skill in pace.
It's not the best solution I guess, but it's better than just nerfing Telesto into garbage. Give it some buffs even (damage / charge time & range) if it's gonna be a heavy.

3 RespuestasSounds like a personal problem from being a Shotgun Ape.
-
2 RespuestasThe problem with that, is that telesto can't kill a super in all seven bolts, and can't kill a 7 res guardian in 4 bolts. I made a post addressing this, but the TL;DR is nerf the stability. Stability MAJORLY affects how tight or wide the bolt spread is. This way, telesto maintains the traditional fusion effectiveness in mid-close and close range to shut down shottie apes, but won't map people nearly as easily, which seems to be the #1 complaint i have heard (and been sent hate mail about after comp matches).
-
2 RespuestasKeeping a fusion rifle on target until it finally discharges takes a little skill and patience. Shotguns take a little skill and fast reflexes. Telesto is an exotic and has one of those annoying little exotic perks, kind of like the Chaperone that's equipped on one of your characters.

6 RespuestasAnd queen breaker back to special ammo slot

1 Respuesta...only if they move shotguns as well. U just mad that normal users finally have a good counter for all you shotgun crutch hunters.

Editado por riverfox: 11/7/2018 7:29:09 PMI have never been killed by telesto in comp. not once...never.
I’ve never played comp.
4 RespuestasEditado por Fear of Missing Out: 11/7/2018 1:10:49 PMHow I feel about Telesto: I don't see an issue with it. But with the amount of people that seem to be complaining about it, it's gonna get nerfed. If they do, they need to do one of two things: -Leave it in the energy slot, but reduce the damage in PvP. OR -Move it to heavy, but increase the damage both PvE and PvP, so it can keep up with other exotic heavy weapons. I'd personally prefer the first option, but tell me what you think.
-
Sure when you go and put Luna's and Shot guns in there as well.
-
No it does not it needs to stay an get huge buffs at that much more ammo no charge time and perfect targeting so they can aim at their feet and still wipe your team with a single shot. Cry baby

5 RespuestasI find these posts surprising as I rarely get killed by Telesto! Not because I’m amazing at pvp (I’m really not) but just don’t come across many people using it. Admittedly I’ve only just started to grind for Luna’s and am about 750 Glory, is it more prevalent at higher levels?
-
1 RespuestaIt's the range... I've been one-shot beyond any range a shotgun could ever do.
-
No it doesn’t, I don’t want telesto in my heavy slot in pve. What ever nerfs you feel you need must only affect pvp.
-
It's a difficult one. I really don't want Talesto nerfed. It's an incredibly fun gun to use in PvE especially when paird with Nez Sin, but atm QP for the casual pvper is just flat out boring. I'll start the match without Talesto but if the opponents are using it I'll brake it out too. Last 25 games have just been a Telesto spam fest for me. Boring and just not fun. It's not a massive game breaker though because I'm good with not pvping. Don't need the milestones and it's not fun so I'll play the activities I enjoy.

18 RespuestasEditado por Noo Its Obama: 11/7/2018 5:11:41 PMagreed. The people saying no are the people who can only do good with Telesto. Edit: Lol, all the people downvoting my comment, you kids would never know how to use a primary
-
Nah. It’s just fine.
-
2 RespuestasNo.....just no, Telesto should stay an energy weapon. As should shotguns The reason being? We all asked for this change, your telling me you didn't see the rise of a new meta when this came to fruition? The crucible has never been better, there's a solid amount of weapons to choose from. Telesto is doing its job, fusion rifle that ignores range. If you wanna counter it, mover faster, peak faint a volley, learn how to use a sniper. There are a few ways to counter it.

2 RespuestasYou can't besto the telesto?
-
Mad cuz bad.
-
No. The Telesto has always been a "fusion rifle" which all use the secondary slot. And, the Telesto is an exotic. It should be that strong to wreck you... otherwise no one would use it. Another point to remember is that you don't just have PvP to consider. PvE (much more important in my book) will also be affected... and I'd much prefer the Telesto in the secondary slot because, for me, my Warlock likes to use exotics in the secondary slot which lets me use better weapons in other slots.
-
Couldn’t agree more!
-
I can beat Telesto easy with a number of counters. I’ll admit, however, Telesto is easy to use.
-
7 RespuestasWhile we are at it lets make lunas howl and redrix broadsword heavys also oh and bygones. Lol get over yourself kid. Telesto can be beaten easily.
-
1 RespuestaThe only reason wardcliff is so popular is because all legendary power weapons are generally pretty poor for PvP.
-
Only if shotguns get moved back to the power slot...

5 Respuestastelesto has been in special slot since D1 , And it needs to stay there . I am sorry that you get killed a lot by it but so do i, just deal with it. The majority of players wanted this new system and goes back to the way D1 was set up. I am assuming maybe you are not a D1 Player , It seems as though everybody wanting nerfs and (balance) in crucible are just whiners who get killed a lot and i can only say that (balance) is not the answer.
