Shotguns NEED To Be Nerfed To Save PVP
PVP is a worthless shotgun-fest. Since they have such a low skill floor and the lowest skill ceiling, it is easy to just ape and slide with shotguns to get absurd kills. Shotguns need the exact same treatment they got in D1. Drastically reduced range, but very consistent inside of that range. Getting sniped by a low skill weapon is a terrible mechanic, and panders to the casual, shit player.

1 RespuestaI agree but have an easy easy solution... Take Aim Assist ALL the way off shotguns. This would create a vastly larger skill gap.

The only shotgun I have issues with is chaperrone (sp?) The range on that shotty is broken AF

1 RespuestaNot really shotguns its the maps. The maps were built for 4v4 now they are 6v6 so its gonna be a clustered mess. Especially considering Bungie likes to have really small chokepoints before major fighting areas which leads to a lot of teamshotting. The entire game was built on our guns/supers/melees being weak and now they buffed all of that so pretty much just gotta wait for more and more maps to drop during the next few additions and that should alleviate a lot of these issues. However radar in this game is awful and they should fix that so it's like D1 again. It makes a ton of fights feel very clunky.

Not at all. Most people will just ape at you in a straight line, it's stupidly easy to counter. Shotguns are absolutely, demonstrably fine.

I don’t really have a problem with shotguns, but I also tend to keep my distance in PVP since team shotting is still a problem. I love how Gears of War handles rushers. If someone is running at you and your hitting them with shots it slows them down. That’d be a nice fix. It would keep shotguns from being a rush weapon and more of a last resort or sneak attack weapon.

I agree shotguns should be nerfed. Those that say you can beat shotgunners with stand-off moves neglect to consider the maps we use for PVP and as mentioned some of the shotguns have a way to much range. Example: You see a player running towards you, you start shooting and hitting the player, the player slides and one shot with a shotgun and your done. I know this is a game but think about it; your popping this guy in the head and he keeps on coming he isn't staggered or slowed down he keeps on coming and able to slide and one shot from a shotgun and your done. Where is the logic in that game play.

The history of Destiny 1 shows that unless Bungie completely butchers the special ammo economy or moves shotguns to the heavy slot, shotguns will remain popular.

When you start receiving messages of how your a scrub for using a telesto, you know your oding it right, then you equip 3 of them and go to town lol What i do hahaha

1 RespuestaIt's fine that there's a shotgun meta right now as long as it's not forever. This game needs the meta to change occasionally to prevent the pvp from getting stale. I personally like when I'm forced to use something that I haven't in a while.

Yeah I hate the shotguns and the shotgun metas also. Every game is a shotgun fest and many people won’t like this kind of comment. They say it resulted in the fiasco of the d2 launch state . I say T!tz

Bungi did nerf shotguns. they did it without telling anyone. full choke wasn't the only thing about shotguns that was nerfed. They have increased pellet spread for every scope. and made it slightly more random. some of you may have noticed that your botherations or retold tale seem to be extremely inconsistent.

8 RespuestasThey need to adjust the ammo economy. No more respawning with green ammo. Any kill you make adds 1 energy ammo and 10 kinetic ammo to your reserves. 10 kills add 1 power ammo to reserves maybe?

The only way to beat the shotguner, is to play smart, and be better at using shotguns.
