There's literally no more casual Crucible now.
Everything is literally filled with Luna's Howl/Pulses w/ Kill Clip and Shotguns now.
I now find Crucible currently to be far more cancerous and less diverse than the entirety of Year 1's metas. At least I could outplay Grav Lance users with Autos, other Pulses, Scouts, and sometimes Hand Cannons. Luna's Howl? Literally no counterplay other than get it yourself or hope their aim is garbage, which considering the requirements to get the gun? Not likely at all.
Luna's Howl/Not Forgotten are in positions where nerfing them would result in sheer outcry because you need to play competitive to get them. Making them Exotics would result in anger and frustration for collectors that don't want to suffer through Competitive to get an Exotic.
So basically, Bungie, you've created the most unbalanced PvP I've ever seen since the Thorn/TLW meta, and frankly? It's totally boring and unfun to play.
Prepared to receive hate or "git guds", but this is my honest to God opinion. I almost want to completely avoid Iron Banner, and the weekly Crucible powerful rewards simply because it's outright unfun to play now.
-
Weird cause it's super balanced.
-
1 RespuestaProper matchmaking would help. I love pvp currently, but I agree that a 6-stack of sweats with Not Forgotten should never see a pleb like me. It’s not fun for either side. Luna is a really weird situation. I’ve tested the waters and I’m not good enough to get that gun. But, I very rarely lose a 1v1 to someone who has it. I feel like a lot of people got carried in that quest.

Editado por Fujimoose: 11/5/2018 1:57:32 AMPvp sucks anyways. It's just a bunch of cheap ways to get kills which is an illusion of skill, and random bs where nothing registers either.
-
It’s because they put sbmm back on a while ago. But bad players still want it even though it’s there!!!!
-
When has the crucible ever been casual? I rarely see anyone not trying their butts off. Most play to slay or win and use whatever is best at doing that. Luna’s is not that hard to counter. Use Ace at range or something stronger in mid-long engagements. Otherwise you’re going to have to hope you can put aim and play them.
-
3 RespuestasSimple solution is Lunas/NF can only be used in competitive.
-
True. True. I avoid Crucible like the plague.
-
4 RespuestasThe biggest issue is the game putting highly skilled vs low skilled players. The guns are just an implementation to be used by a players skilled hands.

Editado por Fujimoose: 11/3/2018 2:59:58 AMCrucible is terrible anyways. Too much rng bullshit. Way to go with having inconsistent weapons with inconsistent damage. A hunter slid right around a corner, right in front of me. It was well within my dust rock blues range. I got the perfect shot off. It barely did shit to him. But I got sniped in shotgun range. Pvp sucks.
-
9 RespuestasGenuinely completely and utterly sick of shottys to the point of switching to a different game soon which sucks cause I have invested a lot of time in to a game I very much enjoy. Crucible has always been one of my main activities but it’s been ruined by the cancer of shotguns. I had a friend over playing on our secondary console last night that flat out asked me after our 4th match ‘is all anyone uses shotguns?’ And I told him yeh, Hingis completely failed at balancing shotguns so it’s just a bunch of pieces of shit using shotguns now.
-
2 RespuestasAgree completely, it’s terminal. It has become a playground for the competitive/trials tryhards. Bunch of shotgunners and lunas/not forgotten show-offs rushing around stomping more casual players like their stats depended on it. Absolutely dire.
-
I now find Crucible currently to be far more cancerous and less diverse than the entirety of Year 1's metas.
Lol good joke :D
-
The real problem is rngesus. Make him be nice and maybe this game will be as fun as it used to be, (cough when caydes flashpoint engrams gave exotics every time.)

5 RespuestasEditado por blade329: 11/2/2018 10:53:46 PMJust stop, already. Yes, it's your opinion. Mine happens to be different. I've faced every gun out there and there's nothing that is invincible. Some players are just going to be better than you. That's a fact. You are not always going to win every gun battle. It's not the gun.
-
I'm frustrated like you, but you have to understand that this IS casual. Lunas howl question is not testing skill, its testing ENDURANCE. ANYBODY can get it, its just agony
-
3 RespuestasI agree I play nothing but rumble now and even now and then, you get a warp warlock w shotty and Luna, disgusting.
-
1 RespuestaCrucible needs to take in both Connection And Skill when compiling matches. In Destiny 2, the problem is that super skilled players have the super good guns and get matched against bad players. In Destiny 1, the problem wasn't that only a select people had access to the absolute Meta, it was that half of the games you joined into spit you into the match with a 1-bar connection. There needs to be a combination of Network Connection and Skill, right now it is too focused on Connection.
-
You'll get my thumbs up.

So basically, Bungie, you've created the most unbalanced PvP I've ever seen since the Thorn/TLW meta, and frankly? It's totally boring and unfun to play.
If you are really unhappy with the current Quickplay and Comp situation (especially the wonky matchmaking), limit your crucible to Rumble only (to get your milestone) and simply stop playing QP. Sooner or later, Bungie will get the message.

3 RespuestasFind a range you like to play in. For me, that’s pulses and high impact fusions. Stay far enough that Luna’s can’t reach you, and if they push or you get bright red around the corner, whip that Wizened Rebuke fusion out with backup plan and melt them before they can get a shot off. I’ve had some monster games with this setup. I do wish things were different but find yourself a range you like and crush that.

1 RespuestaI agree.. Anytime I throw on a load out just for fun I always end up having to switch to Meta just to be able to compete.. I think all the chill casual players moved on to other games and/or finished their quests that required pvp
-
It used to be that the really-really good and hard to get guns were few in number and rarely seen. Those who had them (and did well with them) were not in my crucible games because I'm a casual player. They were not a problem. Now... they throw the sheep in with the wolves, so not only are casual players now facing the best guns, but they're also facing the best players. I'd like to know who at Bungie thinks this encourages "refer a friend".
-
Everything is literally filled with Luna's Howl/Pulses w/ Kill Clip and Shotguns now.
I pulled the crucible stats for clash on xbox, and you know what I found? 6.2% of kills in the crucible come from Luna's howl. A little more than 6 out of 100 kills in the crucible come from the gun that is "literally everywhere". Then I pulled your game history and you know what else I found? You using the Bygones, Chattering Bone, IKELOS, Mindbenders, etc. I'm not saying that you are wrong, just that you're being a hypocrite.

5 RespuestasEditado por W33DEDPLAGUE: 11/1/2018 8:02:32 PMLol @ all the comments saying moving toward the hardcore is going to ruin the playerbase....does everyone have amnesia? Am I the only one who remembers d2 launch being casual the reason why the playerbase became nonexistent?
-
Well, this is what everyone gets for demanding shotties be special ammo again; a Crucible that (still) has teamshooting pulses backed up by EZ mode OHKs.

19 RespuestasIf you look at any accurate weapon spreadsheet you’d know there’s plenty of weapons that are more than viable. Luna’s and whatever isn’t the issue, it’s the player not the weapon. If a player is rolling you over and over with Luna’s, chances are they’ll probably roll you with anything. There’s a counter to everything, and quick play is nowhere near sweaty. Play comp for awhile, you’ll appreciate how chill quickplay is 9/10 matches.
Telesto doesn’t count, thing is broke.
