I know it’s not impossible. But I’m saying it’s impossible!
I’m a filthy casual that’s just a hair better than a 1.0 k/d.
Solo queuing for most activities and especially pvp is designed to balance out. Never good enough to advance and not quite bad enough to fall back.
As I work on Luna’s quest I’m confident in every step except earning glory rank legend. I view this as near impossible as a 100% solo player. My only hope is for the weekly boost to glory rank and maybe a string of 3-4 wins before a loss.
I don’t care if the galaxy brains disagree but I sincerely hope Bungie reworks that particular step in some form so that solo filths like me can actually have a shot.

Get a god roll truth. Equal if not better than lunas and not forgotten. Snapshot, explosive rounds and more range than not forgotten with right roll. Plus you can add mods.

1 RespuestaExcept you're not above average and you don't have above a 1.0 K/D in any game mode. https://destinytracker.com/d2/profile/xbl/Stickersss Looking at the emblem in your collection is useless as it's showing your kill+assists / deaths. Your true competitive K/D is a woeful 0.71 sorry to break the bad news to you. Getting Luna's Howl is going to be nearly impossible for a player of your caliber, and rightly so. It's not meant to be earned by every Tom Dick and Harry in the game. It's a pinnacle PvP reward intended for only the better players to get. If you want it, you're going to need a LOT of help.
-
If u are a filthy casual, u can still get luna from solo queue if luck is constantly on ur side. NF will be impossible. Period.
-
16 RespuestasIf you're a filthy casual then you don't deserve the weapon. I don't mean it in a mean way. But if everyone had a Luna's Howl it really wouldn't be special.
-
It’s possible even at your K/D, my clan mate soloed to the 2100 mark and his K/D was only a 0.9
-
You're in a full clan, use it.

I’m below a 1.0 I think and since I’ve finished the quest steps up and just focus on winning I’ve done a lot better. Hang in there I’m total trash and I went up 500 glory Saturday I’m still under 1000 but definitely progressing

Play with a team and use good weapons

1 RespuestaI know it will sound kind of odd but this is a strat I used and I finally got my howl a couple days ago. As a solo que, I only played until my first Loss. This kept the rage down and also it genuinly seems like you have better matches if you take breaks. As in the lobby seems more actually fair. Almost like Bungie wants to make you stay longer like " hey we see you havent played in two days, here are some good matches to get you hooked so you will stay through the horrid loss streak we will force onto you..."

Look so as a fairly avid pvp player i can tell you that this gun just isn't something you can solo and achieve. You HAVE to buckle down and work with people. Problem is... your stats are so low on average most people won't take you. You need to find a weapon set that works and rebuild your kd to actually match a minimum 1.0 and try again. Look at your weapons. Look at your mods. Is your super working good for you? These are all things you have to consider before you go after this gun. (I love it btw)

I solo’d my way up to 1756 glory, then powered to 2100 with one of my friends. It was a shit quest, and a tortuous grind to get the damn Luna’s Howl, but I got it. I just with it could drop from packages like the broadsword. A stability masterwork, and drop mag is a pretty asstrocious combo in my opinion.
-
U gotta hit legend to finish the quest?
-
Early Monday mornings are a good time to play I had some decent success this morning grinding to 2100 Last night on the other hand If it’s sleezy It was being used lol
-
Try to avoid matchmaking with full teams? Doesn't seem that hard. If the player count jumps from 1 to 5 then back out?

1 RespuestaEditado por IAGNRG: 10/30/2018 12:52:48 AMI did play with a group, typically as a stack of 2 or 3 when I did, but it was usually a detriment. Playing solo was a much better decision because usually (if you play with friends) you can’t get mad at them too much, so you keep playing because they encourage you. (you lose cause sometimes your teammates are bad, but you keep playing with them because you like your friends. Lfg? Typically bad) All in all, play solo, get good, use good guns, play smart, stick with teammates, play the objective, quit after a loss streak of 2/3, quit when you get tired, don’t give up, try again later/tomorrow. (Results May vary depending on who your teammates are)

I will get my Luna this coming reset don’t give up I did it solo too just take a break if u ain’t winning it helps alot

4 RespuestasWhat is this boost I keep reading about? How does it work?
-
I'm in the same boat. Hit me up on xbox if you need another teammate.

1 RespuestaWell firstly, you only have to reach Fabled for Luna's Howl. Legend is for Not Forgotten. Secondly, if I can get it solo, so can you. It is absolute bitch of a quest, but it's absolutely worth it. Just abuse the shit out of the meta to the best of your ability.

Editado por Revorne: 10/30/2018 12:46:05 AMI solo’ed it and I wouldn’t classify myself as very good at crucible. It would have definitely been easier with a team and a times much less frustrating but the gun is obtainable and worth it. My best advice would be to always keep a similar loadout: Bygones / toil and trouble / dust rock (dust rock doesn’t always 1 hit toil does) Trust / mindbinders Ward cliff / twotail Fox You really have to adjust to the map and the opponents play style. If they are playing super campy you’ll have to swap to pulse. Join team voice chat and always try and run around with your team the best you can. Honestly the hardest part is the internal debate on queue dodging or not. I found every time I got to a streak of 3-5+ I hit 3-4 stacks. The problem isn’t having to play against 3-4 stacks the problem is you can never be sure your team won’t queue dodge and leave you at a numbers disadvantage. I lost a lot of 1vs4 matches due to queue dodging. Which sucks but you just have to soldier on if you want the gun. One thing I neglected to mention that will change a bit tomorrow but not much is make sure whatever class you intend to do the quest on has a full set of optimized armor with full super mods. Ideally you want a helmet with HC/EHC targeting / PR targeting, EHC reload, pulse reload, enhanced unflinching HC aim, dynamo boots, class item with rocket scavenger to allow for double ward on scavenge. Best of luck.

Bro I purely solo'd it, used sniper and handcannon. It got frustrating but just persevere and push on.

I just lost like 6 in a row, almost knocked out of brave and my last game my team got 4-0 in a 4 vs 3 survival and Shaxx says “Victory was just a hairs breath away” lmao
