The queen of the awoken, mara sov, is not to be trusted. dont let her fool you guardian, for behind her cold and distant demeanour there is a calculating, cunning, and very dangerous woman.
she tricked her own people into fighting each other, played the house of wolves like how cayde plays zavala at poker, and almost set up the entirety of the taken war to make it so she would gain control of the power of taking, a.k.a taking up the mantle of taken monarch (basically becoming the taken queen). she USED us to further her own agenda, and im afraid she is still doing it even to this day.
beware people, mara sov is a danger to us and the city. we must stay vigilant, or else we may lose whatever battles come next...

I’ll “Trust” her any day.

1 RespuestaYou act like we have a choice with what happens next. We just go with whatever flow Bungie makes in dlcs/events.

1 RespuestaI wouldn't exactly trust my life with mara sov, but if anybody is surviving the oncoming darkness invasion, its gonna be her.
-
2 RespuestasI think that she would be genuinely insulted if we trusted her. As far as a threat to the city, I doubt it. I think that, in the grand scheme of things, she is on our side. However, unlike Zavala, she sees the bigger picture and is not afraid to go a bit gray to do what needs to be done.

3 RespuestasThe traveler: *About to leave humanity* Rasputin: Excuse me, what the -blam!-?! *Fires a freaking rocket to prevent big white ball from forsaking humanity* The speaker: *Assumes role of religious zealot who claims to be able to speak to the traveler bit actually can't* Allow me to intoroduce myself.

8 RespuestasEditado por What I Look Like: 10/30/2018 2:26:40 PMShe lost me when she casually mentioned how she would've destroyed the Traveler. So many people hating on the Traveler. Fck em all. And Toland apparently killed his Ghost because it annoyed him. And the Drifter talked shit to MY Ghost and basically threatened him. Fck them too. I'm liking that I currently hate all these characters. They're all just mad that clearly I'm the best.

10 RespuestasWell she did say this past time you visited her throne room that she pondered on killing/destroying the Traveler.
-
2 RespuestasBut... Mara can’t take and helped us kill Oryx and end the first wave of the Taken War. Although it is true that she used the Guardians, Wolves, and an Ahamkara to further her own self interest...

1 RespuestaActually to some extent Gardian would not be trusted. If it weren’t from the game limitation be honest you’ll be one of the worst murderer in the galaxy. Not many would be actual Gardian protecting people. Most would actually want more and more power to kill and be driven even more crazy by the days.
-
I think the real problem is Petra. I think she killed Moyra Salv, and set up Uldron, all so she could seize the throne.

5 RespuestasMara can’t take. The Mara in the Forsaken campaign was a different Mara. There is only one other Queen we really need to worry about...

12 RespuestasEditado por TheArtist: 10/30/2018 2:31:00 PMDisagree. I don't find her a particularly likeable character, and I find her cold and imperious demeanor VERY offputting.....but lets be clear here. If it weren't for Mara Sov there wouldn't BE a City. Without her defeat of the House of Wolves in the Reef Wars, the Vanguard would have been overrun by the Fallen at the Battle of Twilight gap. Without her basically SACRIFICING the Awoken fleet at the Battle of Saturn, the City would have likely been annihilated by Oryx's fleet....and we would have never had a window to invade Oryx's Throneworld and kill him. Mara is clearly not our enemy. But she is also NOT a Guardian and her allegiance is not to the Traveller. Her agenda is her own....and her priority is her people (The Awoken) and probably (to a lesser extent) Humanity in General. The other issue is that Mara seems to be the only main character who seems to have an appreciation for the full scope of the conflict that we are engaged in. Ikora----as a result of the catastrophe of the Red War, The Traveller's Awakening, and Cayde-6s death-----seems to be quickly waking up to that scope. But she has to drag along behind her a Vanguard Commander who is too rigid, too limited and seemingly too tired (of death and loss) to do what is required. He now seems to want always want to hunker down behind the City Walls, and not deal with threats until they are basically ready to show up outside the City Gates. The Vanguard need to stop thinking of this conflict as a war in human terms....but that we've been conscripted into a War in Heaven....and need to see that conflict in celestial terms.. Or get our asses kicked. Which in this war means: extinction.

1 RespuestaCmon man. She’s 90+. And Prince Charles is a bumbling idiot.
With apologies to my British friends.
I don’t know man. Sure she’s a little shady but she did give me a pretty good Tigerspite the other week. Soooooo. I’m conflicted.🤔

They should have made her with 3 boobs.

1 RespuestaEditado por iBurnToast: 10/30/2018 5:07:42 AMIf by "queen" you mean "Eva Mendez" And if by "not be trusted" you mean "meant to be bent over something" Then I agree

Mara has been a conniving bitch since day one. always remember the crazy/hot matrix.
-
I'm ready to put a slug in that jerk's face. A pretty face is worthless when rotten on the inside.
-
Dat ass tho.
-
I think most should have guessed that when you met her in D1

36 RespuestasOr, Mara is taking a proactive step to safeguard what she can. To create a Throne of Light to vouchsafe a future regardless of what may come to pass. She's playing the long game, nudging events to favor her interests, yes. But it's not considerably different than what the Traveler does. As to the Wolves, she didn't play them. She brought them to heel and cowed them into submission. Using us? Not exactly. She's making use of us as an infinite resource, yes, but so have many (The Vanguard, Outcasts, Asher, even Failsafe to an extent.) And in each case, the threat posed is significant, and she's doing us a solid (Helping us target the Heart, calling us in to go against Skolas ((and rewarding us with all we could want)), disabling the Dreadnought and shattering the fleet, and offering is counsel in the City)
-
I’ll shoot her too
-
At least she's intelligent. She's the only leader of any faction who understands the value of forming and maintaining alliances.
