First off in general I usually enjoy PvP, I Always finish 1st or 2nd on my team with a 2.0+ efficiency and that's using something "out of meta" like a bow. So this isn't a case of "lol git gud" like I see a lot of people responding to legitimate balance issue claims with.
Now to put it simply, Hand Cannons are too strong right now.
Yes it's great Bungie buffed hand cannons (and pulse rifles) so that they're no longer garbage, but at the point where a hand cannon is better at long range than a pulse or scout rifle, I think we have a small issue.
The simple fact is hand cannon's do too much damage at too long if a range. Their damage output is ridiculous especially if it's all headshots and I've never even seen damage fall off. I can pop someone in less time and with more ease at range with my Luna's Howl or Ace of Spades than I ever can with a pulse rifle, let alone a poor scout or sniper rifle, and I love pulse rifles as it is.
But at the end of the day when it's more viable to run around with a handcannon/shotgun for long range engagements rather than a pulse rifle/hand cannon or something, there's a serious issue.
Buffs are great, but when it comes to hand cannons, they've been buffed way too hard.
