At least tell me you plan on making tether useless in pvp bungie. Give me an extra grenade and just take away the super. Ill even take a shader at this point...

for awhile i thought they fixed the 1yr delay when firing shadow shot and it actually tethering enemies but i guess not. played a match the other day on burn out and i was at C and heard an arc staff go off so i shot my super right before you head toward the broken bridge and it was out for a few seconds but then the arc strider came in and killed me and one other person before getting tethered. seems like something about most void super have terrible hit registration and delays. bungie will probably fix this in a year or two if at all... eh they probably just won't fix it and blame people internet connections.

2 RespuestasYeah...it’s bad in PVP. I legit forget I have my super half the match. I actually die more trying to use it than just playing my usual game 😭
-
9 RespuestasOr just make tether actually hold somebody correctly. I mean, the Scorn captains have it right. That thing will grab you and actually hold you and keep pulling you back. The night stalker tether can just be casually walked away from.....

Tether has such a huge delay on trapping enemies now. I get that burning maul is suppose to be a counter for supers but tether should still beat it. No. The game is programmed to allow a burning maul to basically walk right up to a tether and smash it with a hammer and it just disappears. I’m sorry, WHAT? It literally doesn’t even tether to a burning maul and just disappears when they smash their hammer. I’ve seen it probably four times now in pvp so it’s not just a coincidence. I don’t even bother making a post about pvp stuff anymore because it is so far beneath any interest I have in the Destiny universe but you brought it up. In addition, 9x out of 10 enemies can walk into a tether and there is a 2 second delay before it effects their performance. Whatever. I really don’t care for the highly manipulated pvp. I never played Halo pvp, but apparently Bungie made a big name for themselves because it was a high quality experience. All I saw in Destiny pvp is manipulative crap to keep matches artificially close. As big as video games have gotten, it’s high time we have a regulatory commission established to set up a code of ethics and monitor mp games.

1 RespuestaI used to always run that artifact that took the super in favour of two nades and melles. IMO, all thats needed to fix it, is to issue the suppression as soon as it lands. Not land, wait, pop, wait, suppression.

1 Respuestaits made for trapping and suppressing, not dps lol

1 RespuestaEditado por Patient3591: 10/27/2018 6:24:39 AMYou know, when I’m using Teather, I feel like it’s completely useless. It doesn’t kill anyone, I usually die shortly after the animation is finished, and then the other team just shoots the anchor and it goes away. When my opponents are using it though? It feels insane. It feels like there are anchor traps freaking everywhere, I can’t walk two feet without my screen flipping out, slowing my movement to a crawl, losing my super if I was in it, not being able to dodge, or throw grenades or knives... if I can get my bearings and try shooting the anchor, it feels like I’m barely tickling it, and it takes for ever to destroy. Suddenly I’m taking damage, and I don’t know if it’s from Smoke, or vortex grenade, or... Wait, why am I burning now? Oh, and here come the high caliber rounds... Suddenly I’m dead before I could even figure out what the hell just happened. Then in the 3rd person kill cam I see three of my teammates stuck to the same teather, surrounded by a firing squad and a half a dozen DoT grenades. I don’t know, maybe I just suck at this game, but no other super feels so completely useless in my hands, yet so absolutely brutal when other people use it. Like, Nova Warp feels pretty unfair when it’s used against me, but at least it also feels that powerful when I use it. Teather just baffles me with how it murders my team, yet does nothing at all to my opponent’s team.

1 RespuestaI feel NO difference to tether since Bungie proclaimed a buff?
-
4 RespuestasNightstalker in general is useless in PvP. Spectral Blades hit detection is hot garbage, and a direct tether hit only does a third of a health bar worth of damage. I wish it wasn't bc Nightstalker is pretty much the only subclass I play anymore :(
should have taken Blade Barrage...
-
1 RespuestaI think the tether should be quicker, and do a better job of holding people or pulling them towards the center. It would also be nice if the tether shut down other supers a little bit quicker so they didn't still get that last shot off and kill you. I don't ever run the tether these days, but i would love more subclass options to be viable in all parts of the game to create some more diversity.

There are a fair bit of class issues that need addressed currently. Tether seems to be one of them. Don't worry, only 11 more months until Bungie balances.
-
4 RespuestasTether is garbage without the Orpheus rigs, and a super shouldn't have to rely on an exotic to be worthwhile using.
-
PvP it’s underwhelming due to the nature of the super itself. It’s an offensive support, detaining enemies for allies to pick em off. What really needs to be looked at on Nightstalker is Moebius quiver. It just sucks. No doubt about it. It just, sucks. That whole tree needs a rework :/

5 RespuestasEditado por Reaper: 10/26/2018 8:10:23 PMOk so I’ve scrolled through a lot of this thread and I have mained a hunter since day one d1 and taken king mained Nightstalker til destiny 2. I can say that the tether does need a buff I understand both sides of this argument and yes it does shut down supers but that needs to happen on impact not after it, takes too long to pop. As far as ohk kill I agree a tether direct hit should be a one hit kill and for those of you saying it will kill everything tethered it wouldn’t because the tether doesn’t pop until after impact so yes a direct hit with a Shadowshot should ohk. Especially since one it’s harder to aim then say a golden gun and you really don’t get too long to fire multiple arrows with mobius quiver there are way more supers in the game that can take out a whole team even with Nightstalker being buffed in d1 this was not a problem. So I agree with this post it does have it uses but it gets outclasses by almost every other super in the game in crucible and that needs to be looked at.

4 RespuestasYeah. The super imbalance in the game is -blam!-ing crazy right now. Blade barrage is a one button press-and-forget to delete anything, nova warp is a guaranteed 3-4 kills, it not more, but tether is near useless. Comp match just now, survival on burnout. Heavy spawns in that center column. Put tether about 10 meters from heavy when I heard enemy storm trance activate. He just said -blam!- it and came for us anyway. Still was able to kill two before tether actually pulled him out of his super. Shit like this happens all the time. A super should not be nearly impossible to get value out of.

So.... Nerf fusion rifles?

I was a nightstalker strictly in Destiny 1, seriously I only had one class. Nightstalker was so versatile in pvp and pve. I played through a few months of D2 as a nightstalker but gave it up. I recently made the switch to gunslinger. I don’t know why my favorite subclass was rendered useless. I guess it was just time to move on. I might embrace the void again in the future but not until they make things right.

Ohk on headshot, otherwise -blam!-off

2 RespuestasWay of the trapper. 3 paragon mods. 2 grenade mods. Profit. What super?
-
Dude the Tether is so lame , just one hamer destroyed mind even before getting activated on the ground
-
I miss ohk with my 3 quivers in d1. I got so good at it I was a flying cupid firing arrows like Christmas
-
Area control super. Kinda like using junkrat on overwatch. I think it's fine but having it OHK on hit would be a plus
