I've been noticing a lot of toxic behavior in the community (big shocker) but especially when it comes to people who ask for nerfs/buffs. I'm well aware that a lot of unfortunate changes have been attributed to "[insert player demographic here] crying about [insert issue here]", but I feel like we could reach a broader consensus and/or understanding with a little more conversation and a little less shaming.
Too often I see things like "Just get better and stop crying" or "It's people like you crying about ________ that made ________ happen." Rather than explaining why a nerf/buff might be bad in the grand scheme of things or offering a better solution, people seem fit to just shame others for their opinions on how the game should play.
Obviously Bungie can't listen to each and every person who complains, nor should they. I also don't expect the entire community to always agree on everything, and that isn't bad.
I personally believe, as a fellow player and long time fan, we could be a little more understanding and a little less hostile. Even if you have nothing constructive to add, sometimes just not saying anything would be better. I don't expect the toxic people to be less toxic, but I hope this at least causes some people to take a step back at some point in the future.
