Ever since D1 I always felt a bit uneasy about hunting sentient beings to extinction. The Great Ahamkara Hunt had hunters and warlocks slaying untold numbers of them. Young and old.
Then I read the Azirim lore entry. Holy shit that was dark. These damn things were devious beyond belief. Flatterers, schemers, liars, and killers. It makes the decision to wipe them all out an easy one.

1 RespuestaIt is highly unlikely that the ahamkara are truly extinct. There's rumors that the Nine harbor them in the Jovians (Europa, etc). Also we don't know where their homeworld is. Because Ahamkara were found as far away as The Fundament. So there's really no way we hunted a species of space-faring, wish granting, shapeshifting dragons to extinction.

I had hope for a second there. Then you ruined it. When I continue my race, we will change. ~Keeper of the Final Wishes

4 RespuestasEditado por Corrick II: 10/22/2018 3:22:30 PMYeah, they were pretty terrible. Just wish we could have been in on the hunt. Also makes the whole “is the Traveller good or bad” conversation a little more complicated. The ahamkara were a result of the Traveller. Add that to all the death and destruction following that big ball in the sky already and it makes you wonder.

2 RespuestasI think it was Ouros (Legendary Sunbreaker Titan) and the person whose name is in the description of the Fighting Lion I believe had an interesting encounter. They were hunting 2 Ahamkara. They held each other at gunpoint, about to kill each other because they didn’t know who was who (they can shape shift). Then they see them walking towards them, not holding each other at gunpoint, but watching them. The Ahamkara’s nature is to deceive and lie. To always win their bargains, even if they don’t want to.

Don’t feel bad. Extinction is a natural thing.

14 RespuestasIDK I think Riven was probably pretty cool guy (girl? IDK) until he was taken.

2 RespuestasI'm trying to figure that one out. Did he Pied Piper a bunch of awoken off a cliff?

7 RespuestasI’m thinking your forgetting titans, or did they not have a hand in it?

Editado por Patient3591: 10/21/2018 4:21:03 PMYes. The dragons are wicked deceivers that deserve extinction. Wipe them all out, oh heroes mine.
Some things are more dangerous dead than alive.
That was one. The other wish twisters are nice

Filthy wish dragon, grant me immortality!

According to an armor text in D1, there are still some alive around the moons of Jupiter. Should be interesting if we get to face them. The concept art where guardians are fighting an Amahkra look pretty crazy.
-
1 RespuestaThis is why the Awoken had shiny surfaces everwhere. Shiny surfaces reveal the true nature of a deceptive Ahamkara.

8 RespuestasThey would tempt Guardians into insanity with their words. They were described to be siren-like in the very beginning in subtle ways. I don't blame the Vanguard. But Forsaken really makes you understand how dangerous they are And I already dislike dragons as it is

6 RespuestasRead the raid pulse rifle lore. Much sad . Kill all ahamkara.
