People seem to think Xur is now pointless because he is not, at this point in the game, selling Forsaken Exotics. These people have failed to pay attention to two things.
1. Xur is not useless to new players who are just joining into the franchise or players coming back from a prolonged "Hiatus" as this gives them the chance to grab Y1 Exotics. You are not the only focus for Bungie so get over it.
2. Bungie stated that Xur will, in fact, sell Forsaken Exotics in The future. That timeframe has yet to be revealed.
Now I am not trying to defend Bungie from due blame, but I am tired of seeing people cry about Xur merely because they are so desparate to get Exotics and feel the constant bitching will somehow convnce Bungie to make radical changes to make them happy. Got some bad news for you......
Bungie made the Exotic drop rates so low to keep the "Grind" that so many wanted. I do admit this is a very cheesy way to add artificial grind, but here we are. So the same reasoning, IMO, can be applied to Xur not selling Y2 gear. The bitching/whining/crying? Unlikely to enact any real amount of change. Time to face Bungie Logic and move on.

They should,go back to something like strange coins, that were hard to acquire in d1 year 1 . When you bought something you knew you might not be able to buy the next week. It made xur and your choices interesting

I mean 99% of players have zero reason to waste time searching for Xur. And what was the point making him harder to find by removing the waypoint and making him completely useless? Dont give me crap about random rolls.
-
He'll come back to prominence eventually. And it's for the interest of having to look for him. Making him something of a hunt if you want the coolest toys

I miss Destiny 1 a lot. I think the exotics were actually exotic (no pun intended) and the only exotic I use in D2 is sleeper. Everything else is just meh in my opinion. And xur was a lot better in D1. Again just my opinion but D2 weapons aren't as exciting as D1

At this point I will not be around when he does start selling them. I am sick of grinding for 600 shitty legendaries with bad perks that I can’t infuse because of the shitty economy!

The flaw to your logic is how RNG actually works. Some people, regardless of the grind, will NEVER see some exotics. That is a fact and a side affect of the RNG algorithms. Bungie did a good thing, recognized the problem and not only allowed Xur to sell random exotics, but also the fated engrams. The problem is now they have zero avenues for some players to get new exotics. Grinding has zero guarantee that it will ever come, fated Engram was their stroke of genius they implemented and now screwed up.

He isn't carrying them YET. He'll get them later along

I'm fine with him not selling them and with drop rates low. I just hate that drops favor non forsaken exotics. Because there is no denying that they do. Can't wait for 10/30 to see if this is actually improved.

That's gonna skew it towards what you don't have at least

Is there any forsaken exotics? Sure?
