Typically, pc bans are due to software detected by Destiny 2 while running. These include but not limited to, trainers, aimbots, autofire, mods, graphics hacks, anything that injects code into games, debuggers for programing, even some viruses. any of these could cause a ban, even if not destiny 2 specific or if the license key(s) were obtained from a less than reputable source.
Bungie does not discuss restrictions or bans.
Restrictions are temporary, and will not be overturned or undone before they expire. Once an account is banned however, that ban is permanent. Account restrictions and bans are only done in extreme cases; if actions were taken against your account, then it was with reason.
There are NO options to dispute or overturn account restrictions or bans.
Bans are lifetime for that account
Dont i have the right to know Why i got banned?
No. It is upon you as a PC player to know what is running on your rig at all times.
What did they detect?
They are not going to tell you. It helps prevent or at least slow down cheat devs from making work arounds
Get contacted by Email?
No. Bungie does not discuss bans or restrictions.
if they did a mistake?
In the less than 1% of 1% of times (4 total) that a mistake was made Bungie corrected the issue in around 24-48 hours, but I would not count on that in all cases as the new system they uses makes mistakes extremely unlikely. Something flagged your account, a Bungie staff member reviewed, confirmed and issued the ban.

Yet when the game launched, they banned people within an hour of them logging in due to having discord open...

Incorrect. The bans (all but 4) were legitimate bans. The 4 were incorrectly carried over from beta. BTW, I love when everyone brings that up without knowing the actual facts. Much easier to believe the banned I guess.

They don’t have to say. Read the EULA/ToS. 3. Nope. See #2. 4. If so, they will correct it. But very very very few have been overturned. 5. This has been said many times before, yet people still buy their products in troves & keep coming back.
