I just collected 120 Soul fragments and I got the Auto rifle I equipped the auto rifle on my Titan without the auto rifle he is 573 when I equipped the 600 power Auto rifle it only brought me up to 576 that doesn't make any sense it should at least bring me up to 580 Plus has anyone come across this issue who already obtained the 600 power all the rifle from the Festival of the Lost I'm so confused

It's all about averages man. The rest of your stuff is (presumably) weak sauce. The rifle, being at 600, won't do much to your light level until you bring the rest up a bit. On the plus side, having that equipped might give you some higher drops to make that power climb a bit easier.

Of all the things I’ve come across on these forums in the last few years I’ve been on them, this is by far one of the funniest. I didn’t realize 6th grade math was a struggle
-
Lol so 600-570=30 30/10=3 That's 3 light levels higher That's why you went from 573 to 576
-
Add up all the power levels from your weapons and armor, then divide by 8
-
Lol you said 580+
-
Math can be very confusing if you didn't pay attention in school.
-
List out the rest of your light level gear for me real quick and I'll tell you if you should be 576 or 580.

4 RespuestasYeah to the guy he said grind like everyone else I guarantee you he doesn't have the auto rifle he's probably just saying that s*** just to be a complete little b**** wine wine I don't have it -him lol keep in mind my post was not me whining that I'm stuck at 570 Plus my argument was one I did not know the math behind the power level stuff because it's not common knowledge after all Destiny is a game it is not a math class so thank you for clarifying all that with me but rationally you think about it if you put something on your character that 600 power that should raise you up not raise barely up
-
What was the power level of the weapon you replaced with the new auto rifle? Subtract that from 600 and divide that by 10. That will tell how many levels you will gain. 573 to 576 is significant when you only change out one item.

Editado por Ekaterine: 10/17/2018 1:02:27 PMYou need an average of a little under 10 points on gear to go up one level, so a 27 point increase for 3 levels is correct
-
3 RespuestasIt's an average based on all your gear so no that's about right. Should help u level quicker tho.
-
5 RespuestasI think it takes 10 power to get you up 1 overall Power level, so if you replaced a 570ish primary with a 600 one, and went up 3 overall power, that sounds about right.
-
13 RespuestasOk, so your max power was 573 - a difference of 27 points from 600. IOW, putting on the 600 added 27 points to your 'total', but only 27/8 to your 'average' which is how power level is calculated. There are 8 items being averaged to yield your power level (5 armor and 3 weapons). 27/8 is 3.38. So, you jumping to 576 is not at all surprising.
-
Other powerful engrams should start dropping higher now that you have a 600 power weapon. If you have alts that you want to level up you can transfer the gun to them to get them up to 600 the same way. This gun is a quick way to hit max.

2 RespuestasEditado por Risky: 10/17/2018 2:12:13 PM(600-573*)/8=3.375 573+3.375 = 576.375 MATHTACULAR!!! *assuming your primary was 573

2 RespuestasIf your primary was one of your highest power items 3 points sounds about right. If your primary was your lowest amongst all of your slots then you should have seen more of a boost. Like some are saying it takes 10 power to get one level, what you are seeing about right.
