I'm sorry you feel that way, but this tends to be what happens with Destiny, as well as other games, after they have been out for a while. It occurred in D1 a couple of times, and it has now occurred in D2. You may not see it that way, but expansions are a little different than DLCs, whereas they affect the game on a whole, not just in bits and pieces of separate code. Sometimes it gets to a point where it just is necessary to include past product n a current product. As noted, you would have been paying the same price for Forsaken irregardless. If you had the season pass then you also received CoO and Warmind at a discounted price, compared to others that paid full price for each expansion after-the-fact. That's just marketing, and they are not the first (nor last) to do it.
