I found COD BO4 multiplayer to be a LOT of fun (without any of the grind or crap matchmaking).
To be fair though, there are much fewer gamers left playing D2 on all gaming platforms.
That could account for the lopsided teams (especially when you take into account clan stacks on one side).

The guns have their strengths and weaknesses in certain situations. D2 has so many guns that are basically reskins of each other. For example, Inaugural Address is a reskin of Last Perdition.

There’s similarities but I wouldn’t exactly call it a reskin, those are more obvious like origin story and horror story, or the base vanilla ib weapons, the Calus weapons have significant details

The differences are practically close enough to call them re-skins. Let's not nitpck here when there are hundreds of weapons in the D2 arsenal.

Fair enough but what I’m getting at about cod is that practically all the guns suck, it’s like comparing it to destiny’s graviton meta, they should really buff smg’s and -blam!-ing shotguns in zombies ffs

I haven't played Zombies extensively to comment on that. From a multiplayer and BR perspective, I like where the guns are currently. If i have an SMG or shotgun and am caught out in the open, I WILL die to an AR or DMR, as it should be.

I need to try bo4, ive always loved COD cos it's a refreshing shooter that isn't too tactical that you can always go back to.

It is a LOT of fun. I would get COD BO4 for consoles (I have it for PC and PS4 Pro) simply because there are fewer cheaters AND the gameplay is slower and more tactical. PC gameplay is more of a twitch, reflex game given the short TTK.
