Three Character slots.
Three Classes.

That’s funny except when I remember how bungie said they are enforcing player choice and play style. Real funny, real contradictory too :)

I wouldn't categorize the quantity of characters you want to make under that considering all available paths are at the fingertips of a single character. This makes having a second of the same class completely unnecessary. The only reason it would be beneficial is if they locked a player in with whatever subclass they chose first. Instead, they let the player freely choose and change at any given or desired point.

My point is if I have to play all three classes to progress at a steady and good rate, I am being forced to play classes I don’t want to play. They aren’t giving me a choice in the matter. I can see the trouble with leveling but that’s the thing I’m getting at

I misinterpreted your response initially, but even so, the point of my initial response stands. You aren't required to do anything. If you don't like a class, don't play it. You aren't penalized for not playing it. My personal gripe is when someone doesn't even attempt to play one and decides it's bad, or even plays it a tiny bit and figured the whole class isn't for them. Getting used to a class- especially when you have only played one for a very long time - takes time. For example, initially I hated Titan and disliked everything about it. Although the greater portion of it isn't anything I'm interested in, there have arisen some paths and builds that I actually find enjoyable and either can't do on my Warlock or give a similar feel. But that was found through playing it and giving it a chance. I know not everything is for everyone, but you aren't forced to do everything, and not even all parts of each class are for everyone, meaning there may be a part - however small - that you'll actually enjoy.

Except there's no advantage anymore to having multiple of the same class, unless they changed that with Forsaken. Even so, that's simply a power leveling tactic and not required. One isn't forced to fill all character slots to power up. Was it faster back in the day? Sure. Was it necessary to reach the highest power? No.

I wanted to raid in the first week with my friends but was left severely out of the race because of how much harder it is to level with two. I see where you are coming from though so fair enough

I’ve made a warlock, max leveled it but personally strongly disliked the play style and feel of especially the movement so I decided to make two titans (my favourite class) but because I favour one class over another, I’m being penalised

I totally agree with you but maybe I didn't word my point clear enough. I have bad rng when it comes to raid drops. I get alot of weapons nd most of them duplicate. I knew my second hunter wasn't gonna power me up but I was doing it for better chance of getting the armour. I'm not expecting the raid to drop me powerful gear. However I get zero rewards for my second hunter. This I did not know nor I have hear bungie mention that if you have 2 of the same character you get zero rewards from the raid.
