Make Powerful Gear drops avoid the last type dropped
BUNGIE,
Please, please, please, please for the love of no god, can we get a "Else If" statement setup on the damn Powerful Gear drops to avoid getting the same -blam!-ing slot over and over and over?
I wasted all my high drops this week on my Hunter because the game gave me four heavy weapons in a row and then two (maybe three) helms in a row. Just make it so it has a greater chance of dropping a needed drop and not the same shit you just received!
Last nights Example:
- Finished the Blind Well weekly and Heroic; received a nice pair of Arms and an Exotic (Queensbreaker) dropped, both 565-566!
- Finished the Ascendant Challenge triggered my Petra powerful gear drops: Arms, Helm, Sword
"Cool... wasted sword, wasted arms, but new helm!"
- Completed the Weekly Story from Petra; received another sword (lower light level)
- This triggered the completion of 20 bounties from Ikora; received another sword (lower light level)
- Went to Hawthorne for my clan drops; Raid, Gambit, and Nightfall were triggered; Only two drops instead of three (glad to see this bug STILL ISN'T FIXED) and TWO back to back energy weapons. (these of course are not high level power engrams but still the same issue).
Nothing is more depressing when you get to play the first time this week's reset and get 4-6 powerful engrams that just double up. Just shit.

12 RespuestasSo you had some bad luck. Quit crying. Nobody wants to hear it. It’s called RNG for a reason. It’s not broken, it’s just random. You will get strings of great drops getting exactly what you need, then several things in a row you don’t. Deal with it because it’s just random luck and all you can do is try again. It’s called patience.

You mean the thing they’ve needed for engrams for the last four years? I’m pretty numb to the repetition now. I see four helmets drop in a row, I’m just like “FML, on to the next thing...”

This be a relatively small, but great quality of life change. Que all the people who will come in and talk about how you were handed every exotic in Y1 so no changes can be made to this new system at all though...

Or leave it as it is but make regular legendaries drop at your average level, enabling slots that lag behind to catch up. This could also lead to tactical choices, such as doing the Spider bounties first to try and get those trousers up a notch before doing your milestones.

I wouldn't be mad if they gave us more variety. Right now it seems like the drops are weighted towards weapons, which isn't bad when you are transferring guns to your other guardians, but it makes leveling up tough.

Just got a Prime Engram on my 560 Hunter, the highest item of weapons or armour I had equipped was a 569 Badlander .. It gave me a 566 Badlander. How the hell is that a thing ??, I got a duplicate of the highest level item that was lower than it .. and that's been happening a LOT on my three characters this week. I'm beginning to think these "random" drops are anything but. They seem weighted to give you lower level items of the highest on your character .. to keep us playing ?? Cant wait for RDR2, I am done then until Black Armoury.

1 RespuestaBump this for visibility. My clansmate is 8 light higher than me, started 2 weeks after me and we do the same grind every week. This really ruins the game. I dont mind the grind - but complete luck based progression sucks. Your effort is not rewarded. This will always be relevant so I hope they do something about it.

yup, same with vendor stuff, traded in some vanguard tokens, 4 fusion rifles. wtf? RNG should never drop 4 things the exact same.

Last powerful drop grouping ended up with three Tigerspites before something else dropped.

Yeah but the grind. Isn't it such an amazing feeling playing for 50 hours to get the same 3 pairs of gloves at 1 light above the previous one?

I got 3 prime engrams and 2 powerful drops on kinetic weapons within a single session. All level 571. I usually wouldn't mind, as all my kinetic weapons would have been brought up to level giving me more options, but given the current masterwork core economy...hahaha -blam!-.that.shit. Deleted.
