I believe he has depression, I also believe the last thing he should have done was made a video about it.
People who live in the social media world tend to deal with depression more, and have a hard time connecting outside of that, which is why he posted on YouTube, however all this is going to do is perpetuate the cycle. He needs to log off, get help and stay offline until he does

With ya on that. The last thing he needs is to garner sympathy from anons on the internet. I know I did before on my art account way back, but it doesn't help. In the end, depression is something that can't be solved or overcome as easily just by reading nice comments on a screen. Personally, it's something that should be discussed with his family, friends, and/or a medical professional, not a public video. And if he can't just easily pay for a professional, there's ways out there to help you out. Just means having to take that step forward and actually doing something about it. He won't get anywhere just by talking about it to a microphone.

He did say that the main reason he was making the video was not to get sympathy but to explain to his viewers why his content quality had slipped recently and also to reach out to others struggling with depression to get them to go seek help. He also said that he was going to go get professional help and not make any videos for a bit, except for one he is almost done with.

For sure, I agree with you that positive comments from randoms in the Internet really won’t help, but negative comments will hurt, and so while I understand WHY he posted it, it wasn’t a good idea
