So would killing strike bosses before it teleports be a cheese?
No.
Is killing Calus in one plate a cheese?
No.
It's smart gameplay. They managed to combine enough damage to wipe it out quickly. They used a proper damage phase to do it.

Pushing Atheon off the edge in VoG is similar to this, and it was a cheese that got patched. Subverting mechanics to get a cheesy scrubtastic victory, is, a cheese. The real question is why would you want to cheese it? It’s a brilliant fight.
-
Except this was proper. They did it in a legit damage phase that was intentionally put in and did the damage with no glitches. Not a cheese
-
...no... it is absolutely nothing like that. Pushing Atheon off was done to skip the entire fight. For Riven, you STILL HAVE TO DO THE MECHANICS TO GET TO THE DAMAGE PHASE.
-
You dont have to do mechanics for Riven. Stack 6 people on 1 side and hope she shows up on the corresponding. Then you simply rocket nuke her. No need to call symbols or shoot eyes. So no, you dont have to do mechanics to reach damage phase. Thats why this rocket cheese is considered a cheese since it ignores all mechanics.

-
Dryheave is correct.
-
atheon push and riven clusters are in no way even close to being the same thing lol
-
You skip the whole fight for a cheesy loot drop. Sounds the same to me.
-
then you are an idiot who fails at logic. the riven fight is roughly 10 million damage to kill her. BOTH ways the fireteam does that 10mill..... then she dies. both are legit. atheon (no idea his HP) but lets say its the same. if you cheesed him off you never actually done the damage yourself, it was fall damage or just despawn that killed him not your fireteam...... see the diffrence now?
-
You don’t “skip” the fight. You kill her with damage lol
-
atheon: push atheon off the cliff with aoe grenades and he falls to his death without you actually killing him with guns or supers. riven: you max our you damage capabilities with supers, abilities, rockets with clusters, weapon and armor mods in order to max your damage output to the max in order to kill him super fast. please enlighten me on how its the same thing again...
-
You skip the whole fight. That’s how it’s the same. You’re welcome, you are enlightened now.
-
But you don't. You properly follow the fight mechanics until a damage phase, and then do massive damage. Not a cheese.
-
Okay well any time you kill a thrall without letting it hit you, you’re cheesing the game because you’re not letting it fight
-
oh you skip the whole fight??? must be a new cheese that i havnt heard of then... cuz last i checked, when doing clusters you still drop down go to a room kill adds damage riven run in the taken realm damage riven again and then kill heart. is there a new cheese out that avoids the whole fight? id love to try that one and avoid having to do this other stuff
-
Editado por Brownsky-85: 10/11/2018 8:09:56 PMbtw, burning riven is the same as burning a strike boss. so are you saying i shouldnt burn: the corrupted inverted spire pyramidion arms dealer lake of shadows warden of nothing
-
Strike bosses and final raid bosses aren’t comparable. But whatever, it’s almost always easier to learn a fight and clear it clean each time than wipe 100 times trying to cheese it. Continue defending this nonsense, I’m sure you will. It’s just a bummer that it turns lfg into the scrub factory. It gets patched, and everybody’s clueless
-
how are they not comparable??? they are both bosses with mechanics involved. i agree the "legit" way is easy to learn, but what i dont get is why people are up in arms about clusters and flaming those that use it. its just another strategy. once again, its not getting patched. bungie was congratulating a team on video of the week that used clusters...
-
Quit making yourself sound silly defending this crap. Just learn the fight. It’s fun.
-
That doesn't make the other way a cheese, though.
-
oh i know the fight haha. i have cleared the "legit" way 10 times and clusters 5 times...
-
if anyone is sounding stupid, its you with your silly way of argueing this
