This is the most asinine argument I could imagine. The guns aren’t in the loot pool until after you’ve finished the quest. Meaning it was added to the pool, not a part of it. We are asking they not be added since we clearly already have the guns. I think you’re intentionally being an ass. This is obvious as hell and simple common sense. Whether you agree or disagree, stop pretending you don’t know what the Op was talking about, it makes you look really stupid. Or don’t, and keep looking stupid. Whatever.
since we clearly already have the guns
You CLEARLY already have the other ones, too, don't you? The ones you can freely re-generate anytime you want? Should those ALSO be removed from the loot pool? No? Then why should these? How does that 'make sense'? While it is frustrating to repeat myself so many -blam!-ing times, it's a little amusing to see so many people miss my point and then call me a troll...
-
You can ignore all the points counter to your “point” all you want, these guns were never in the loot pool. They were added. Your “point” makes exactly 0 sense.
-
lol. Noted. We're at an impasse. Have a great rest of the day. :-)
-
“Oh no!!! Rational argument, and I’m on the wrong side!!!”.....Don’t let the door hit ya buddy.
-
Whoa, whoa. I made my rational argument. You disagreed - we have a fundamental disconnect, aka no common ground to begin a dialog. So, what's the point of continuing the conversation? The only argument you made was that 'we clearly already have the guns'. I countered that by saying you must want ALL of your discovered exotics out of the loot pool by the same logic. And you said I didn't have a point. So, I lol'd and wished you a good day since we were obviously done 'discussing'. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have. Fire away. :)
-
And to be clear. My argument wasn’t “we already have the guns”...no ones is. The argument is “they added the guns after the fact and we don’t like it” That’s the debate, that’s the argument. Respond to that not this imagined bullshit you keep pushing.

Respond to that not this imagined bullshit you keep pushing.
Dude, why are you so -blam!-ing hostile? Calm down, we're not throwing hands, jeez... Simply put, I'm very protective of the state of the game that makes loot tougher to get because I hated D2 at launch. Every piece of loot was handed out like a participation trophy and nothing had any meaning at all. Do I think the drop rate should be adjusted? Yeah. Do I think there should be less weight given to already discovered exotics? Yeah. Do I line up behind crybabies who are whining about 3 additional items in the existing loot pool because it makes their precious new exotic harder to get? -blam!- no. Play the game, you'll get the exotics. Stop crying about it because THAT's how we ended up with the D2 vanilla shit show...
-
FINALLY A LEGIT STATEMENT!!!!!!!!! And not only that, one I agree with. The thing is, artificially inflating the grind for reward by watering down the pool is not even slightly the right answer. As a matter of fact I’d argue that it’s wholly unnecessary, I love the grind state of the game right now. It’s in a better place then it’s been maybe ever in my opinion. But let’s not pretend there’s no room for improvement or major missteps that deserve addressing. That’s foolish. Now that you’ve actually said something I’ll actually say something. Exotics drops in Y2 are rare as hell, not even in the same sport, let alone league of Y1. There is no need to further make it harder to get what you are hoping for. It’s already plenty damn rare as is, coupled into RNG. This isn’t an argument for easier exotics or faster loot. It’s asking to not be screwed with a weapon I earned, not through RNG, but grind. That is not unreasonable.
-
Lol - see? Damn. I had no hope we'd get there, but God dammit, we got there. lol I was really just calling out the whining. And it snowballed into this awesome shit show. Peace, bro.
-
Lol. Glad we could have this talk.
-
You're a feisty mofo though. lol Took all I had to pull it back on the rails. All said and done, I think if the drop rate is so slow, then any previously discovered exotics should have a much lower chance of dropping, and new stuff should have a higher chance. And it doesn't make sense to throw quest exotics into the loot pool if they weren't there in D1. Again, I was really just railing against the crying. Scared to death of that pendulum, y'know? :)
-
It’s easy to be protective over something you’ve invested so much time and effort into. I appreciate you for that actually. Even if we “disagree” on this point. I’m not sure we disagree anymore. *chuckle
-
Trust me I know bro. And to be fair to you, I am indeed an asshole. Lol.
-
Haha! I can be too. And knowing is half the battle. lol
-
And here we go...I literally never said anything close. I am fully capable of articulating my thoughts, I don’t need you to imply my meaning for me. The meaning is already evident. You’re on some high horse about “faster loot” NO ONE has said that but you. No one. It’s like you’re arguing with a phantom or something. You’ve still not made a single point contrary to ANYONE. As I said, agree, disagree, it’s up to you. But stop acting like you don’t understand the argument being made and replacing it with your imagined one. Again it makes you look stupid, and judging your responses you’re not. But you’re not listening either.
-
You’re on some high horse about “faster loot” NO ONE has said that but you. No one.
CBEKO "that could have been a new forsaken exotic" asweknowitjake "They're in the loot pool to make it harder for you to get the new gear you paid good money for" madmax0707 "Yes to water it down and lessen your chances at forsaken exotics" zJDz "Only reason to do it is to artificially inflate the grind and make it harder to get forsaken exotics." Rocket456bz "Kinda wish repeat exotics would he a zero percent chance when you already have it in your collections."
-
I don’t see “I want faster loot” ANYWHERE and I fail to see what you intended to prove here, this bolsters what I’m saying. You’re not listening. Read one thing and reply to whatever then?? Ok. People are right, these could have been a forsaken exotic but the pool got watered down AFTER the fact. Which is the argument! Until you can argue THAT point I’m done wasting my time talking in circles with your hardheaded ass.
-
You honestly don't think those quotes literally mean 'worse chance at new loot' which means 'want better chance at new loot' which means 'want new loot faster'? You honestly don't see that? Simply put, I'm very protective of the state of the game that makes loot tougher to get because I hated D2 at launch. Every piece of loot was handed out like a participation trophy and nothing had any meaning at all. Do I think the drop rate should be adjusted? Yeah. I see people not wanting RNG involved in crap they earned. Earn is usually a relative term in destiny, but not with the quests. You do earn those. That’s not even loot to me, it’s a reward. And now my reward is taking away from my loot and I don’t like it. And that’s 100% fair thing to say and feel.
-
That’s not how we got the shit show. We got the shit show because Bungie didn’t have enough backbone to ignore the loud ass minority that was D1. People don’t know what the hell they want, bungie knows this better than most, or they should. Enjoying the state of the game (which I do as well) doesn’t mean you have to ignore oblivious flaws. I’ll say this, I have more problem with the current masterwork system and lack of mod components (I think people aren’t complaining yet because so few people have maxed end game gear) then I am with the 3 or 4 guns or whatever being in the loot pool. BUUUTTT that doesn’t make the Op wrong.

You haven’t made a point dude. That’s the point.
-
That directed toward me..? It sounds like we're on the same side of the argument.
-
We are, not sure how it replied to you, apologies.

Lol broke app just like broke game lol
