They are responding to someone coming to the forums to play dumb when their play history shows they run with a team of cheaters. They benefited from running with a team where someone was cheating, and they don’t get to “earn” the benefits of that. It’s clear Bungie policy that’s been posted for a long time.

He didn't know he was running with cheaters, he made a post days ago about how he was constantly losing teammates in competitive and how he wanted bungie to fix it. Why would he join it if he knew the issue?

Are you saying you’re so naive as to think that they knew there was a mysterious issue with people being kicked to orbit in competitive. Continued playing competing anyway, and happens to join a team where they never get kicked but their opponents always do, AND Bungies cheat detection also misread their actions as cheating when they weren’t cheating???? Yeah I’m going to go with they cheated, got caught, played dumb and now want to argue. Another player in that team has a separate post where they pretend they are a lawyer and think they can argue their way out of their ban, but they can’t. They should all just move on to another game, we will all be better off with less cheaters in our game.

I don't care about the other 3 in the fireteam, but Phoenix is my cousin, I've known him my whole life and I know he didn't cheat on purpose, not like he'll have the chance to prove it but I can't stand all these people saying this stuff about him when he didn't know someone on his team was ddosing and the crucible has so many frequent disconnects and connectivity issues that it's not surprising to see your team or the enemy team to lag out

I’ll give you and them the Benicia of the doubt. I’m not saying that they are a bad person but they benefited from the cheating so being suspended will make them lose the benefit. After the suspension they can be more careful about who whey play with. Maybe they were unaware, but they didn’t mind reaping the free wins handed to them when the teams they were facing were suddenly getting booted and their team wasn’t. I have seen plenty of disconnects in the comp playlist but they are distributed between the two teams equally and more often I see my team mates leave after getting behind. I never ever see team after team I’m playing against getting disconnected. It’s more like what Phoenix posted about on the 30th. I can’t say for sure he new he was on a team that was cheating, but he was on a team that was cheating.

He won't be getting another chance as they changed it to a permanent ban after this but he just wanted to get Luna's howl and he didn't realize they were cheating until it was to late, nothing that can be done now since bungie doesn't care but I hate seeing people calling him a cheater and a loser when he isn't one

Well let’s see the evidence shows that their team benefited from their opponents getting kicked from the game over and over and Bungie’s anti-cheat system identified them as cheating so no worries bud justice has been served. It’s too bad all the people who got kicked by this team or stayed in game and took the L don’t get justice.

I was on that fireteam, kyp invite me from the destiny app!!! The title says , rank glory 1000 kd 1.2 some like that, look my whole historial if u want, you’ll see that i never cheat or trying to either now, im not playing fukn dumb bro you ppl need stop acuse everyone who has this ban problem, now how is this possible that the has a ban for 2 months and i was banned forever !!!!!

He has his cousin the character witness who swears it he would never do it. So now you need to get two cousins to swear you would never do it. Then maybe he can get three. I don’t know. Well all 4 of you saw what was happening and never questioned it, at least 1 of you knew what was happening, and all 4 of you benefited from it sooo... you got your bans. His cousin claim his suspension was changed to a ban too. You all benefited you all got banned. Don’t look to the people who would get kicked if they played against you for sympathy.
