Star the post regardless your opinion. I want as accurate a poll as I can get.
I think the majority of solo players have made their point on the forum that bungie never reads, so if you disagree say why
I personally think that the current system requires no skill at all. I think the only way to really judge skill is to do so solo, and that to accurately judge someone's skill we need to remove the team aspect and bring back assists as a separate bracket. But that's just me. What do you think?
I don't think that we should only have solo for Comp, but we need a change
Edit: I've had to edit once already because of technicality, so let's put this fair, explain your vote regardless of what you choose.
I personally do not think one skill can be judged in a team with the current mechanics in place. Comp is based on skill, so why is that not reflected?
Reiteration: the number of replies and stars is what it takes for bungie to see this. Just polls taken won't be enough. Even if you don't have a comment please star it if you want them to see it.
Thanks
yay more edits
Edit number 3: it's really sad I have to say this but there are children amongst us who can't keep thing mature. I will tolerate disrespect towards myself to an extent. I will not tolerate it towards other members. Be respectful or don't be here at all.
any day now bungie
Edit number 4: I'm not a new player by any means. I've been playing destiny for a while. I've seen some ups, some downs, quite a bit of it all. Don't come in here expecting me to not know what I'm talking about. Don't do that to yourself.
let's change it up a bit from edits
Can anyone tell me why comp is meant for teams?
last edit I do believe
The majority of comments that don't involve point changes is simply have a solo que. Put solos against solos, and teams against teams. Thanks for playing guys. It's been fun

Why does it have to be non-top-tier solos? Sure solos should be able to get it, but they better be above average. Ive done all my grinding solo and I'll reach it by end of season. Im certainly no top tier player.
-
Let me throw this in there just to show something. Trials is a perfect example of team oriented skill in these matches. You are forced to join a team, you have to work together because the people who you are up against are seasoned and aren't just stomping solos. These people are good most of the time, and if they know each other from a good bit of playing together are great. So I'm not saying that all teams are skill less. But I don't think you can call it skill when your hunting solos.

5 RespuestasTo those people saying "Grab a few people off lfg it's not that hard", there are numerous issues with lfg fireteams. For starters your group has no familiarity with eachothers playstyles and some might play in a style that is not compatile with yours, so there is no guarantee of synergy. You also have the glorious guessing game of finding players that are in the same skill bracket as you so that it doesn't become an unintentional carry for one or more players. And no, destinytracker is not an accurate way to deduce these things. On top of all that some players just don't want to work as a team but still crave competitive pvp gameplay. LFG does not solve anything, I seem to lose even more with lfg fireteams than I do playing solo.

1 RespuestaComp is not just for teams, but if you are playing solo you also shouldn't get special treatment. We all should play from the same play list. Teams will almost always do better. Let's be real,if there was a competitive que for just solos. Same crap you guys are complaining now will still happen. One team of solos will start kicking the asses of the other team. People will quit, people will be just sit in the spawn. People won't do the objectives. Absolutely nothing will change. Instead of complaining on the forums, find teams it will be alright. I don't play competitive,I suck. But if you are good and playing solo, only person losing out is you. Bungie isn't changing, it's up to you guys to change. Find teams ,find clans. Solo playlists aren't changing anything.

As always...there should be a separate queue for solo, this would eliminate stacking.

4 RespuestasIn PvE, we have matchmaking for strikes and guided games for NF and the Raid. In PvP, we have matchmaking for quickplay and competitive then for trials there is a strict requirement that only teams can enter. IMHO there seems to be some "grouping" mechanism that is missing in between quickplay and trials to truly accommodate competitive mode. If the mode is to be a competitive team based mode then simple requirements like mics (which is required in guided games should also be a requirement for loading into competitive). Whether the player uses them or not is up to them much like in guided games, but if one of the most oft cited advantages that teams have over solos is communication, then surely in competitive mode players that go in must have mics, cannot be partied up and are automatically put into team chat. It is afterall a competitive team PvP mode.

3 RespuestasI’m crap at PvP but play it none the less. I’m struggling to work through the weapon quests but will continue to try. What pisses me off the most though is, as a solo player, being pitted against 3~4 man fire teams. There should be a way for lone players to not have to come up against this? Sort it out Bungie. Rant over, I’m heading back to mangle my Valor score some more ^^

3 RespuestasThe penalty is to high for loss. And for soloes its pretty much automatic fail vs stacks. Its not competitive if it is unfair matching. And going for quests like Luna is just unfair.
-
I'm starting to think teamsters want solos in the games to make their odds better. No one is talking about Nerfs or buffs except a few people not wanting to lose points.
i like the point loss system actually
We just want a solo que. That's all. Doing so would also allow quitters to be replaced on our teams and we won't complain about teamsters anymore. Seems like a win/win to me.

7 RespuestasPlayers should not be penalized for lost. Nobody likes going backwards mostly trying to do a quest for a weapon. If you want to be the best and shine then bungie should create a platform for that, but don't have weapon quest involved in that , the average joe player gets the shaft again.

1 RespuestaThe problem is Bungie has sat right on the fence on this one. Lots of arguments within the community re. solo’s should not play competitive for XYZ reasons. As a result the PVP community is at each other’s necks. If Bungie cared about the community at all they would come out and make it clear, should solo players enter Competitive Mode? Yes or No, simple as that. Bungie IMO could do one of the following things: 1. Change competitive so it’s a little more solo player friendly. Matchmaking would make it more likely that solo players are likely to be matched against other solo players and likewise pre-made fireteams have an increased chance of being matched against similar pre-made fireteams. Or alternatively. 2. Competitive should be changed so that only pre-made fireteams of four can enter (similar to Trials). Neither of the two options are difficult to implement so using the excuse ‘it’s not possible’ or it’s ‘too much work to code such a solution’ just won’t wash with the community. Now I get it, some players like to enter Competitive as a pre-made fireteam to stomp solo players might not like either of these solutions. However as often preached on the forums to solo players ‘don’t enter without a fireteam’, then surely one of these two options shall go a long way to solving this problem and make Competitive mode truly ‘competitive’ for all.

Yes I think that everyone should be able to play at top tier the same way everyone should be global elite in csgo It’s competitive matchmaking not everyone should be at the top

29 Respuestas"Can anyone tell me why the team based game is meant for teams?" 😒
-
7 RespuestasI agree, and the NFL should allow anyone to simply walk-on and be able to win.
-
5 RespuestasI stopped reading when you said the current system has no skill at all. If that was true, then solo players wouldn’t be complaining as much. People don’t realize that you’ll get shit on if the enemy is more skilled than you, it doesn’t matter if they are in a team or not. If you could explain to me why communication matters in a simple fps like destiny 2 then go ahead, but I can assure you that skill beats communication every single time.

3 RespuestasThis is an easy fix. Add Glory to Rumble.... Boom! There’s your solo playlist

3 RespuestasEditado por CatMan: 10/7/2018 9:39:01 PMI'd say if you go in Solo you're a -blam!-ing awesome lunatic, you win or lose. Solo have traveler sized balls going into comp. Got most of that HC quest done, just need to hit that rank and I'm done....won't be touching comp for *a* min tho. So it's going to take awhile for me to get there. ....now let's sit back and wait for the trolls salt.

Here's a link to my thoughts on how to adjust PvP so that singles and stacks can effectively coexist: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/249039218?sort=0&page=0

At the moment, the playlist heavily favours pre-made teams. What I have seen that would be an improvement for all PvP, is do what Titanfall 2 did. You toggled for which gamemodes you wanted to match before launching the matchmaking. Say, for example, you want to play competitive, but don't have a team. You can select to match only for competitive clash, control and supremacy. Or if you want to practice with your team but not loose rank, you can matchmake for countdown or breakthrough in quickplay. In my opinion, this would severely improve the state of pvp, and as well keep the player pools with a decent amount of people for every gamemode

6 Respuestas1v1 Comp Playlist Or 3v3/4v4 Comp Playlist with Bungie curated guns only.

1 RespuestaI think it is very achievable for a solo player currently. However, they could make rumble grant glory !
-
14 RespuestasThe idea that you must play solo to have skill is absolutely ridiculous. I mostly play PvP solo and I’ll tell you that trying to squeeze that point in should get you down voted off the forum. The rest of what you’re trying to say is moderately accurate. But the only way to test skill is solo? Damn you just must be plain awful at being a teammate, and it’s no wonder you’re struggling to win games solo.
-
2 RespuestasIf I play solo my skill should matter. If i'm clearly playing better than the opposing team even if I lose because of my teammates I should still be able to progress somehow. winning a match doesn't necessarily mean your more skilled than the opposing team so I would appreciate if if they went away from just needing to get wins in competitive.
-
In any other game you can solo queue to the top. In Destiny, you're heavily disadvantaged by playing solo. The devs haven't been able to figure it out.
-
8 RespuestasI've never understood giving the best pvp players a weapon that makes them even better at pvp....

It's doable, but too damn sweaty for me.
