(blade dancer was heavily nerfed at one point in D1 in case you forgot)
Maybe people do ask for nerfs and buffs too much, but rather than just cast aside their opinions, maybe recognise there are certain problems on classes that need to be addressed. I understand being on a warlock is easy living, but there is definitely some fine tuning that needs doing with certain abilities and classes

LOL. you're joking right ? bladedancer was such a problem in D1 that they had to kick it back and virtually CREATED stormcaller and hammers just to give other classes a roaming super option!! That was D1 - this is D2 now my man. Easy living huh ? yeah ok - all everyone is talking about atm is the nova warp and the hand-hled supernova. so that one subclass attunement makes the WHOLE warlock class "easy living" huh ? don't you think that's a bit hypocritical as a striker titan? again - My point speaks to the demeanor of hunter mains and how they keep consistently asking for Nerfs to other classes and buffs to theirs, on an almost unconditional basis. Should they have broken stuff ? - YES - but also so should Titans and Warlocks !! Please don't try to pretend otherwise.
-
Bladedancer was a problem in year 1, that was it. I'm all for broken stuff as long as it's on every single skill tree, but I think I'd rather have abilities that are more skill based
-
That depends on what you see as requiring skill - I think there is some pretty cheap stuff ATM on all classes. but I think its important that each class have some broken stuff. I wont argue subclass by subclass. I see your point and I hope you see mine.
-
I see where you're coming from yeah, to be completely honest I feel like if no changes were made right now it would be fine as long as no one complained and everyone diversified their weapon choice a bit more. Don't think there's ever gonna be a point where there is a good amount of agreement in the community
-
no - I don't think agreement is a requirement - Just acknowledgment that there are different ways to play to and against the strengths and weaknesses in any class. I feel that ATM there is a much more level playing field. and you're less likely to see the same class running the same weapons or abilities, over and over. that's a WIN to me - and not something to complain about.

I'm sorry to but in on this. But from all the time ive played d2 on my brothers account ive had quite an easy time on both his warlock and his Titan. There are some rediculous things going for both of these classes and after playing on them it makes the game literally too easy in alot of cases, shoulder charge can be used infinatly with support and regens health on certain trees, one eyed mask is like a foetracer on steroids. And there is a pair of guantlents that can give you practically infinite sentinels a game. (I know this because me and a buddy did this in comp ended up popping 10 a piece) and thats just a bit on the titan side, next i can point out that the nova nades are actually op and have killed a good 3 people with one nade, no other type of nade is that Consistant in killing, next there has been times I feel ive sniped someone with novawarp(like those times where i feel it definatly shouldnt have killed said person) theres also the exotics, like theres a pair of gauntlents for the new voidwalker subclass that can let you spam supernova nades as long as you get I believe a ki)l or two with it(dont quote me on the kill requirement please I haven't used them but have seen the videos) stormcaller will always be good every time I pop a super I'm practically handed 4-5 kills considering I know when to pop it. Then i move onto my brothers hunter which i let you note is his highest character and he complains alot like op did in this forum about the same things practically, and after my experience with it id have to say that arcstrider is viable but gets shutdown easily, ive been one shot out of it so many times, and I've also noticed unlike the other two characters i played the hunters do not have a viable ohk thing besides a super, blade barrage is Damn good if say as a super but otherwise the other things in said subtree lack, you would think three knives landing on someone would at least hurt them alot but hardly take a sheild down (this class is a different story in pve where its fun to use and is very very powerful) but then when you also realize that blade barrage is similar to Nova bomb and thundercrash which are both used as shutdown supers as well(or well thats how I use them maybe snag a few extra kills here and there if i hit a group) but other than the blade barrage and the pole dancer hunters are actually lacking in something i just can't quite put my finger on it. But anyways I hope this doesnt come across me as complaining (because I'm truthfully not trying to) and I'd figure it be best if i gave my outlook from having played all three different characters (being the Titan, Warlock, and Hunter) i can confidently say that Titans have the best of the best right now. Ohk melee, amazing supers good nades everything is viable in them. As for Warlocks i can say the most consistant out of the three classes would be the new voidwalker one and Stormcaller, and lastly Hunters my least favorite to play out of this list because of lots of lackluster things id say the Blade barrage class is solid but nowhere near op, and Arcstrider (or pole dancer) is still there best super (don't even bother touching the void subclass on this everything in it is Garbo (except tether in pve) Thank you if you have read this and i hope you have a great day! -Malice

Not every class should have a OHK. Titans have a shoulder charge in every subclass. and warlocks have one grenade option on one attunement. Hunters don't need a OHK. Just as every class doesn't have invisibility, or shoulder charge, or blink. Hunter mains on these forums agree. Hunter's have plenty of tools and advantages - if you look up a few posts in my conversation with JedHarris - you can see the conversation we have and the conclusion it came to. That he current situation is fairly balanced with great tools on all sides. Hunter is not a class for everyone. You might have to get better at the skills required to utilize it's strengths and offset it's weakness - just as with any class. I appreciate your POV - but I have been playing all three classes for the past 4+ years. and it is from this persepctive that I make my conclusions. Hunters all through Destiny - and especially D2 year 1 were in an undisputably AMAZING place, so much so that every 3 out of 5 people in the crucible were runnign the SAME loadout as hunters. People don't do that for style - the do it because there is a clear advantage. Now in forsaken - Other classes getting some stuff to compete does not weaken hunters or their continued use in the game. They were not nerfed. Read through my convo with Jed. Give it some thought.

I did read through your convo and this just another outlook on things from someone that doesnt main any of the class as i play al 3 everyday. I agree hunters in year 1 of d2 where op in alot of aspects. The only problem that i see that remains though is the factor of balance is still not even and will possibly never be even. I pointed out many things i noticed on the class while all classes have disadvantages i do so a reason why those hunter mains might be abit salty. Simply because both titans and warlocks got this synergy on all there classes that works towards a certain playstyle the only ones the i saw after a good analysis on the hunter was the arcstrider where you can dodge and get your melee back then melee to get your dodge back. I'm not saying the class is weak but i see more problems at the moment on it. Like how spectral blades has the same problem sentinel has with hit registration, and id like to see both fixed as there both decent the sentinel being the better one since you also get the shield throw which tracks people. Id say they difinatly got the shaft on that end. There's problems on titans also in the barrier taking 8 years to pop same goes for wells on Warlocks while the hunters doesnt need a buff whatso ever while the other two should.

I see that, but a problem with the community sometimes is that even though there is equal opportunity to be good on all subclasses, most players choose to gravitate towards the same one most of the time. There's no fix to this really though, so I guess I can put up with it
