I got all the quest steps done up to needing to reach Fabled last week. I completed the broadsword quest yesterday and took a deep breath to try and get some points in competitive.
Went from 1150 odd to just under heroic rank.
I'm pretty sure I am not going to get 1100 points solo. Being a bit of an average player, or so I'd like to think, I don't have what it takes to make a big difference to the teams I get put in.
I'll try again, and probably again after, but without a team and some coordination, I doubt I'll get there.
I will be trying to get in a team from now on, or at least if the app is working.

I got my 200 points back! It makes a huge difference when your not focused on precision final blows with a hand cannon and you can focus on winning

Nice! I use a hand cannon anyway so I wasn’t really even focused on the quests

Also at a disadvantage I have not purchased forsaken yet. I’m seriously out gunned “ truth, duke, and ace of spades” I don’t get any drops it all has to go to vault until I’m level 43. Also no exotic drops not even a good blue drop. And my controller is broken I can’t run or use a smash super....... it just smashes in place not forward. Good news I did get on a 3 game win streak and I quit at the peak of that. I had to leave it on a high note. I feel like I’m just rambling to be rambling I do suck! That was very enlightening

Yes! That’s exactly what I mean. To my defense, it is very distracting when one is focused on critical kills and to remember that there is an objective in the game.
