How would anyone feel if the francise fixed the glitch/graphic issues and reboot the game? I liked the story.

Editado por Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 10/7/2018 9:50:17 PMI never found any of that to be even close to game ruining in the first place. I played it twice in a row at launch. No regrets. It’s a shame they were so ready to write it off so early. I’d really like to see where the story goes. They left things open and I want to know more.

2 RespuestasI didn't enjoy it even ignoring the issues. The game just didn't have the drive to it like the other games did. I simply didn't care what was going on and why these people were so important. The characters were flat and uninteresting and the dialogue was, for the most part, poorly written. The Archon was a forgettable villain and had nothing on Harbinger or the The Illusive Man. The combat was the only improvement I thought the game had over the OT. I'm not saying the original trilogy didn't have its own issues. After the hiatus I was expecting something that lived up to the Mass Effect name. Something to ultimately redeem the mess Bioware left the franchise in. Remember this game took like 5 years to come out - I think the majority of us were expecting way better.
-
10 RespuestasEverything ran fine for me. It was probably my favorite mass effect. I’m a fan of multi quest open world games and this one has it all

I am a huge fan of original trilogy and Andromeda was the game on top of my waiting list. We waited 5 years for the new Mass Effect chapter and what Bioware gave us was a subpar product with a lot of issues, which was eventually abandoned. I have to agree with some of you saying that Andromeda was judged more harshly because original ME trilogy set the bar very high. I think that as a game by itself Andromeda was mediocre, however as Mass Effect installment it is a complete failure.
-
I didn’t even care about the graphics/animation issues in that game. I thought it was a mediocre game for other reasons. Namely the boring repetitive quests and activities and the barren empty worlds.
-
I loved the game, only problem was the ugly faces....and I'm not taking about the aliens.
-
God no its just awful. Should never have been made. Its so shit it got a great franchise binned.
-
On Xbox it’s perfection. PlayStation had tons of bugs but I finished it on PlayStation. Yes I played PlayStation second not first and both were played long after updates. The bugs were a harder boss then the game lol but I loved it.

1 RespuestaEditado por What I Look Like: 9/29/2018 2:29:36 AMIt's still good dude. Gets a lot of flak but no one talks about how that's really because they're comparing a whole new cast of characters to the old cast that had 3 games' worth of development lol

2 RespuestasI actually really like ME:A a lot. Not my favorite ME title at all, but it does remind me of my favorite ME the most (the original Mass Effect to this day is my favorite). Andromeda took what i really liked about the first game, and expanded upon it. The story was hit or miss, I didn't hate it myself, thought it was straight tbh. Gameplay wise i think it's the best and really lets you choose how you want to build your character and play.

Editado por Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 9/30/2018 11:53:32 AMI never had any major issues with it and they did fix some bugs within the first month. I played it twice in a row at launch. No regrets. I’ve noticed a lot of people seem to compare to the original trilogy as a whole. If this new story and characters were given the same treatment, over time, I it would be as likable. Wish they weren’t so quick to abandon it. I really wanted some single player DLC, particularly rescuing the Quarian ark.

I liked MEA but I feel as though Bioware cut too many corners with it. The story line basics are ok I did enjoy some of the archived memories with Ryder Sr and Liara also liked how they tied Gariuss dad and Ryder Sr. Story line as a whole felt really recycled like you flee one universe for another that has you fighting an alien race that kidnaps you and turns you into them c'mon man. I do like the combat engine and I am looking forward to Anthem, but I feel with all the leadership changes at Bioware Mass Effect is the unwanted step child, bringing that franchise back is going to some tough business.

ME:A could've been the best looking game of our time and still been shit.

Editado por TravDawg: 9/29/2018 5:21:53 PMAndromeda was the first Mass Effect game I played all the way thru, the story was kinda meh but not bad, I liked the combat, what pissed me off and drove me away from the game was the Quarian Arc scenario being relegated to a frakking comic instead of being the intro arc of the sequel or DLC for andromeda.
-
It's best left forgotten.
-
If they remastered the OT to have andromeda combat and weapons. That’s about all andromeda did decently was the mobility and combat.
-
5 RespuestasI personally enjoyed it as it was, just wish they'd not hinted at dlc in game before shutting down support
-
2 RespuestasThey already fixed most of those issues. The only thing wrong now is the story.
-
I've thought about why I hated the story and came up with the fact that there were no real stakes. Basically the humans were fighting off an invasion for a newly introduced species that acted like dicks and it didn't matter because we already knew the Reapers were defeated so if Andromeda failed it wasn't the end of the world. I just didn't care about any of it.

Editado por ElBambino: 9/28/2018 9:21:22 PMThe graphics problems were pretty much fixed and they weren't the cause of the demise of the game. Bad story, boring villain, rehashed protagonists, NPC's that were as interesting as watching paint dry, horrible dialogue, other NPC'S that required outside material to be read to understand them, and utterly lazy 1 only asari, Krogan, Salarian, npc models...the list is long.
-
The graphic issues weren't my reason for disliking the game. Although the glitches pissed me off, even they weren't the main reason (although they were the final blow). It was the shitty quest markers, sub par story (although admittedly excellent characters), empty worlds, terrible dialogue options, always unclear dialogue options and annoying player character. The game was bad even without the horrible glitches.

Editado por FdYAcsoyPKN83gLE: 9/28/2018 11:57:40 PMI never played Andromeda, and I feel grateful that I did not buy it. Like when I was playing Destiny: Rise of Iron, and people were hyping for this future fad called Destiny 2, they thought that Andromeda would be game worth playing, but they were wrong.

1 RespuestaEditado por Swiftlock: 9/28/2018 9:35:01 PMAndromeda wasn't a horrible game, but it was a bad Mass Effect entry. It was boring. The level of intrigue and charisma found in the original trilogy just wasn't there. I know that no set of characters would fill the shoes of Tali, Wrex, Garrus, and Legion, but Andromeda just left WAY too much to be desired for the franchise it represented. The multiplayer was pretty fun... but the devs clotted the loot pool with filler junk guns so that you had even less of a chance to get the weapon you were specifically after, which was a drag.
-
1 RespuestaThe bad writing and directionless acting is why I didn't like it. The acting was all over the place. Male Ryder was fine, not amazing, but nothing majorly wrong. The dad was cliche and over acted. The first Asari you see was under acting. The black guy was a cliche and annoying character, but acting was passable. SAM was just all around annoying and kinda lore breaking. It felt like a pre-alpha build and everything needed a few more months being worked on, especially the writing and acting.
-
I liked ME:A, although I found the story to be uninspired. Really sucks we never got that Quarian DLC.
-
What is this you speak of? ME:A? Heard it flopped pretty hard and with good reason.
