Ever since Destiny began, there has been rampant classism coming from everyone, and I do mean everyone. As a Hunter main, I have noticed a considerable amount of people that complain about Hunters complaining more than others. I don’t see where they’re getting that from because I went on the “nerf” tag and looked at the first 10 posts that were some sort of complaining, and 9/10 of them were either warlocks or titans. However, I’ve also seen plenty of Hunters complain about the other two in the past, so I’m not claiming that it doesn’t happen.
The question has to be asked: Why is there so much hate coming from everyone? Isn’t this game based off of the idea of the 3 classes working together? I mean sure there are little jabs at each other throughout the game, but they’re mostly jokes.
Can we all just lighten up a bit? It’s a video game, people. You don’t have to personally attack people and assume their personality because of what character they play. I haven’t had it happen to me in a while, but I see it every day on these forums. Someone gives an opinion on something and the other two classes come out of the woodwork going “REEEE of course you would think that! You’re a filthy, whiny (insert OP’s class)!”
I have a dream... that one day Guardians can be judged not by the symbol of their class, but by the content of their Light.
Edit: If you’re not going to read the whole thing, don’t comment. It makes you look like a dumb fuck and is a main part of the problem. If you stop as soon as you see the words “Hunter main” then you’re obviously a close-minded child.

It what 'they' did to us those filthy cape wearing guardians Never forget what they did
-
While I agree completely, your words fall on deaf ears as this community as the physical personification of toxicity
-
I never believed the whole Titan master race thing, but after I got 3 exotics faster in like a tenth of the play time on my hunter, I believe
-
im not classist i just love my warlock and hate everyone who tries to kill me in the crucible equally. including (and especially) warlocks.
seriously when a warlock kills me i try to assert my dominance and destroy the other warlock because I'm the best
1 RespuestaEditado por pig-golem: 9/27/2018 2:30:41 AMThey're just jealous of our capes
-
only class i hate are titans dunno why. guess all those bubbles in d1 when im trying to fire a rocket or sleeper shot irked me.
jk
idk i still have SOME disdain for titans but mostly i dont mind them. other then the one eyed mask being a liiiiiiiittle too good right now and i 100% admit wormhusk was just as bad. but since thats pretty ok now i think the mask needs a small nerf like maybe no overshield or no dmg buff but not both
-
Because these nerds take the game too seriously. To me it's just 3 different subclasses and ways to play which is why I use all of them.

Editado por H1vac: 9/28/2018 3:57:31 PMNo! Classes will forever be judged by the symbol of their class. I will always hate. If there is no hate, people would be focusing on the good of Destiny. There must always be hate. Hate shall fuel the flames of my ascendant sword, even though swords are arc damage. Haaaaaaaaatte.

jk edit: spoiler didn't work

The hate comes from crucible, unbalanced classes there generates hate every day haha

I didn’t read the whole thing. Hunters suck.

2 RespuestasHave you not fought a full team of wormhusk, graviton, antiope arcstriders that bag? Did you experience when sun breaker titans were overpowered in D1? Remember when people use to consistently die twice to the same storm caller super? And when the infinite nova bomb glitch ruined mayhem? Yea that's probobly why theres so much hate bro.

36 RespuestasEditado por Patient3591: 9/26/2018 1:29:45 AMIt all started as friendly ribbing between Hunters and Warlocks, mainly about the lore surrounding Blink and how Hunters either stole it from Warlocks, or invented it independently depending on who you ask. Back then it was all in fun, and Titans stayed out of it for the most part. Gradually though, this did develop into more genuine animosity, in part because, let’s be honest, bladedancer was OP in the vanilla PvP meta. Other classes, and especially the Warlocks who were already used to having a playful rivalry with us, started to call for a bladedancer nerf, and we resented it. Things only got worse when the raid dropped. As the only class without a support subclass at the time, Hunters were often accused of being useless in the raid. Many of us tied our Class identity to PvP, since we were viewed as unwanted in PvE and overpowered in PvP. Then came the Taken King. We finally got a support subclass, and it was great. Better than the Sunsinger. Titans got Sunbreaker, and it was better in PvP than Bladedancer, especially in the wake of a couple of harsh Bladedancer nerfs and before the Sunbreaker nerf. Suddenly the tables were turned. Hunters started calling Warlocks useless in PvE, accusing self-res of being a crutch, and calling for Titan nerfs. We were only doing as had been done to us throughout year 1, but with Titans and Warlocks now on the receiving end of the same behavior, they realized how unpleasant it was. But this only bred more animosity. Titans just wanted a chance to shine in PvP for a change, but the Hunters seemingly didn’t want to give up the top spot and cried nerf despite having been the ones in need of nerfing before. Warlocks resented being shunned from raid teams by the same Hunters who had previously been shunned. So, the reputation of the entitled, whiny Hunter was born. And it has stuck around ever since, even though that behavior had pretty much died down by year 3.

1 RespuestaI, as a Titan main, always love to have the medal "Dodge This" in Crucible.
-
People are always biased to one thing or another. It's been that way since forever and destiny is just another thing to do it on. Personally I like all for different reasons.
-
Editado por crazeeavery: 9/27/2018 7:44:37 PMWhy because people get there butt hert in PVP.
-
Because people do only play one class assume that everything from other classes that kills them is op.
-
Because people are petty, and insecure, so minute changes or afronts to the way they like to play becomes a PERSONAL slight to them as a player. Its why any game with any form of coop is as toxic as an atomic waste dumping ground. I bet if you made 3 classes where all the abilities were exactly the same but with different animations and outfits, you would STILL have all 3 groups screaming at eachother about being superior/inferior

4 Respuestaspeople who comment “i stopped reading when i saw “hunter main” also be like “i hate hunters but i need them to carry me through raids :(“
-
A complaint post from a Hunter main. How typical.
-
As far as d1 the devs sort of encouraged the rivalry between the classes, add that with the years of different class nerf and changes and then the vocal posts from each class. It sort of got out of hand and now certain gaurdians have a negative view on other classes.
-
Why can't I hate?! Yall are a bunch of imbalanced idiots.
-
"Just because I think something is bullshite, doesn't mean it should change right away."
-
Because Warlock master race
-
As much as I don’t get the hate (hunter main too) I think it’s pretty healthy. It means that people feel a connection to a specific class and view it as a rivalry, rather then a just a perk they can change any time. Kinda how people identify as tank, dps, healer, and support. Everyone resonates with one.

2 RespuestasIt is laziness and excuses. You got outplayed by someone? "Oh, well that only happened because they were a Titan/Hunter/Warlock". It really only applies to PvP. I can't remember the last time I was doing anything in PvP and said "man, I really wish that Nova Bomb didnt melt that boss". The classes are probably the closest they have been in terms of power, that's why you now see a healthy mix of each in PvP.
