So everyone of my friends say that they watch anime and such, but I just don't really find the appeal of overreacting characters or hentai and shit. However, if there is a anime without these two things, I might give it a try. My friends keep talking about My Hero Acadamia and Pop Team Epic and I was wondering if these two anime were good or not? Anyways, I will always appreciate any suggestions, so go for it!
Cheers!

Black Butler and Attack on Titan. I don't like anime but these are excellent.

My Hero Acadamia is all right, My suggestions are High School DxD, Dragon Ball Z, and Konosuba.

Not a single suggestion of Code Geass. For shame, Offtopic, for shame.

If you want a good first time anime Check out one of the fate series on Netflix I recommend “fate stay night unlimited blade works” or “fate apocrypha”

My Hero Academia is really good. Characters are fun and interesting. Asks some really good questions about what makes a hero. Not too much fanservice. Plus, some truly incredible fights. Gurren Lagann is a good mecha anime. It's pretty simple and easy to follow. Not much fanservice (except for Yoko). Great fights and a very satisfying conclusion. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood is absolutely fantastic. Probably should have been the first thing I wrote now that I think about it. The story, is fun, fast-paced, happy, sad, and everything in between. Very little fanservice, if any. Very satisfying conclusion. Finally, my personal favorite, Hunter X Hunter. Although it may be a bit long for a beginner, the story and characters are very fun and interesting. Story is simple and light-hearted, but isn't afraid to get a little dark and sad here and there. No fanservice (that I can remember). Great action scenes, and the show doesn't reply too much on the main character being cool or interesting. A very fun watch, not exactly short, but not long, like DBZ, Bleach, or Fairy Tail.

Fairy Tail

If you start with my hero you will not like any other shounens. Start with phantom requiem for the phantom. It is very dark unless you are looking for something more light hearted.

Attack on Titan is a nice kicker. Doesn’t dwell on the anime girl archetype and really just has a cool story.

1 RespuestaEditado por LahDsai: 9/23/2018 12:49:53 PMCowboy Bebop It's light on stereotypical anime tropes and fan service. Its basically the anime counterpart to Firefly, so if you liked that there's a very good chance you'll enjoy Cowboy Bebop. Also, it's only 26 episodes long so not a huge investment. If you're looking to dive in head first, try FLCL. Way more "anime" but only 6 episodes.

4 RespuestasCheck out Gangsta and possibly Angolmois: Record of the Mongol Invasion. These will be subtitled, since usually only the most popular get dubbed and those are typically filled with the stuff you said you do not wish to see. Though Attack on Titan and Sword Art Online are dubbed and you should be ok there. One thing you have to realize, is that the over reactions, those are like how in theatre people over act so the person in the back row can understand what is going on. The over reaction in anime is there to help you understand the emotion and be funny, because a lot of anime is prime time television over there, like our sitcoms are here. I watch anime, but I am not trying to buy a body pillow of some anime girl, nor am I jerkin my gherkin to it. Anime is exactly what you make of it. Like Gintama, which makes fun of all the anime tropes and every anime ever made, plus it is hilarious.
