Why I will probably NEVER get the Ace of Spades (and related issues)
Are you trying to make me hate exotic quests, Bungie?
Let's examine, for instance, the Ace of Spades quest. It makes sense that it would involve a hand cannon. It even makes sense that it would involve PvP. But WHY, for the love of DeeJ, would it involve the one mode that I have no clue how to play, and then involve killing the invading Guardian, the same thing the other 3 players on my team are trying to do; that is assuming I can even spot the invader, amongst the crapstorm of PvE enemies, and assuming I don't get gunned down myself by one of those enemies, OR by the invader? Why make the learning curve so steep? Is this really going to be such an awesome gun? I find it hard to believe. And if this is step 1, what the heck is step 2?
Or the pulse rifle quest. Pulse rifle kills in the Crucible. OK, in principle. But then the next step is Double Plays, [i]in the Crucible.[/i] PLEASE, let me out of the damn Crucible!
I know people complained that the exotic quests were too easy. Those people are IDIOTS!! Don't be afraid of catering to casual players who don't have 40 hours a week to devote to your game!
At the very least admit that you screwed up, and kills made AS an invader with a hand cannon were meant to count toward the quest. In which case I'm 40 percent done already.
If you're going to tie quests to the Crucible, and then have losses set progress back, the least you are obligated to do is not spawn players into matches that are half over, where the opposing team is 60 points ahead, everyone has their super already, and there's no chance of winning... so that the quest is almost doomed to lose progress. Doomed, I say. DOOOOMED!!!
Set up alternate paths for the quests, if this is the kind of thing you're going to do. Extremely difficult alternate paths. Things that people who absolutely suck at hand cannons in the Crucible (like yours truly) can do eventually. I know players have been urging this for years, and I'm finally jumping on that bandwagon.

[i]I did two Gambit matches, without killing an invader with a hand cannon, and I'm at 74%. They made it hilarious to just get hand cannon kills on enemies. (Even though you get more points for killing an invader)[/i]

It's just wrong, There truly is no " That gun " anymore because of people like you.. People who have redrix's claymore deserve it simple as that.. anyone who gained it through the quest is a pleb.. and no i don't have it, nor do i feel like i should have it because i never grinded months to get it.. shut the -blam!- and play the game how the developer makes it.. stop bitching a crying about quests being too hard, if you cant complete the quest you dont deserve the gun simple as that.

So true, imagine the first day of that mission, both teams waitin for the other invade for get the kill xD. I just hate play pvp so i hate doin those dumbass missions.

The quest is BS but some helpful tips are 1. get a prime evil asap the only way to get invaders is either for the opposite team to bank 25 emotes which you have no control over or summon a prime evil they will have a permanently open invader portal. 2. you dont actually have to get the killing blow but you do have to damage them past there over shield and they cant die to elemental hazards. After that you'll have to get a bunch of head shot kills in strikes then crucible then you have to do a unique story mission that's really easy. After all this you'll get then Ace of Spades and it is the best primary weapon right now. The Chaperone(which is complete trash and not worth the grind) is the most annoying so far since you have to get 25 shotgun kills, 15 guardian kills in gambit invader or defending and then you'll have to get 100% kills for arc/void/solar in crucible weapons are worth 5% and class abilities are worth 10% while dying reverts you back 1% the elemental's are all on at the same time and can be reduced even if you aren't going for a specific one but when it hits 100% is locks there. After that you get the chaperone a completely trash gun only useful in certain situations and even then a standard shotty or different elemental is a far better choice. I managed to do both quests in a couple days despite my seething loathsome for the crucible.

1 RespuestaThing is for me i didnt use it in D1 to begin with even tho i had and tried it. Wasnt a gun i went for to get the job done. Maybe one day we will get new exotics to try that will impress us. Im so sick of repeat items, makes me wonder if the developers ran out of ideas. Anyway i agree, not a gun ill waste time on.
