Iron Banner matchmaking is a Joke
How many games are gonna start with one side outnumbered and forced to fight an uphill battle just to stay on the board? Hell I even had a 3v6 match. Holy hell it's asinine .

1 RespuestaSo it appears that some people think that the way to play a game is through third party apps to take matchmaking out of the equation. I think the problem pointed out is less to do with the ability to overcome the problem, but more on the problem with the matchmaking algorithms. The problem seems to have been exacerbated since the Iron Banner patch. Almost all games now end in total defeat, or running the other team over. A couple of weeks ago it didn't appear to be this bad, but maybe it's my lack of spamming the crucible. I've also noticed since the patch that all other areas of the game seem to show an uptick to problems like being kicked, slow strike starts, etc. A game should be able to allow a person to play without having to rely on third party apps. Sorry just my humble opinion.

3 RespuestasThe 100 orbs of light bounty is also a joke. Orb generation is so toned down that Guardians count as much as a single red-bar Thrall or something. Of course, I wouldn't want a single Guardian kill amounting to two to three orbs like a major kill. 100 orbs is just way over the top imo. Doesn't make a big difference in orbs whether I use Arc, Void or Solar Titan. Some Nova Warp Warlock killed five team mates yesterday. I bet he only generated like three orbs. Then again, 10 wins bounty is reasonable, but 30 matches is oof. I'm on 3/5 armor pieces and haven't turned in a bounty yet. Guess some of my bounties will just rot away once I have the full set, since I'm switching characters then.

I just tried to play three or four games and the lag combined with joining mid match are just too much tonight. I'm chill, wanted to shoot stuff, guess I'll do it in another game.

Something does seem off, cause I've noticed most games are starting without complete teams. Whether its 3v6 or 4v2 or 3v5. While that could be people looking at the roster and dodging out if they see someone too high or too low level, it seems way too common for that. Nearly every game going to a mercy is also an indication of some sort of flaw, though probably a mixture of things.

1 RespuestaI'm a casual PvP player (1,40 K/DA ratio acording to the emblem) and i'm not saying that the PvP atm is good or bad. The cruicible can match you up with ppl that have no idea what to do/don't take zones etc, but this is idiotic. I played 95 matches of IB this week and..... have only 8 wins?????? wtf is with the matchmaking??? according to Bungie the PvP groups will be your skill lvl or close (so I think 1.40 K/DA) i'm getting groups that don't know what side of the gun goes towards the enemy ALL the time and groups of GOOD players against me. I know that you can't win all the time and that this post will get loads of shit talkers to comment "Git Gud" and similar BS. but it can't be only me having this experience from the IB, or? the QP and Competitive groups are OK-ish with the Win/Loose ratio 50/50 ish, but IB is, at least for me, horror matchmaking. I know Bungie don't read the forums and don't give a flying -blam!- about the complaints here, there is NO Game master that you can complain, so I'm doing it here in hope that i'm not the only one with this issue. btw my LL is 560

Completely agree. There is no parity in any Crucible match. Every match I play is a lag fest despite high internet speed and a wired connection. It literally could not be less enjoyable.

I'm guessing they all work for bungle, so I'm not surprised.

36 RespuestasMy motto for this week is “team up and shut up” I can’t believe how many posts I’m seeing about playing vs full teams, or low level players on their team. Bungie has made it easy to make groups, using this app ironically. So their is no excuse for not being able to make a full team yourself. I hope this helps

It's horrible atm. Every match I've played has been extremely lopsided with most being called before completion. Also, seeing a lot of PUGs going up against 6-man clan premades. Hoping they take a look at it.

Willing to bet the playerbase for IB has SSSHhhrruunk due to lvl advantage plus not having ppl in it, who would normally jump in, because of lack of Forsaken dlc.

1 RespuestaIt’s really bad. Feels rigged also. Power don’t seem to matter as well. Had a 520 running around killing 540-550 like it was nothing. PVP is so broken in this game yet Bungie won’t do anything about it.

What is weird is they seem to group real low light players together. I had a game where three 350 or so were on one team against all 525 plus me,Evers on another team.
