Avid forum goer creates poll to keep gun from getting nerfed. Bungie agrees.
Today marked as a normal kind of day, bungie saw a post on their forum and agrees to change their mind on an upcoming gun nerf.
"Obviously this gun shouldn't be nerfed. I use it." Former alpha/beta and current d2 player Cody remarks.
"The whole point of the game is to have fun... Even if that means at others expense."
I caught up with bungie later in the day to ask why the change of heart? The representative deej had this to say.
"We take all feedback seriously, we do but this poll on our forums... THIS poll was the difference maker. It completely changed the way we view the game. I mean it is a poll on our forums....we have to respect those results like we always have when a poll is created."
When asked if the sample size might be a bit small bungie was quick to respond.
"Hey, this was posted on the internet and our fanbase has access to the internet and with that it's obvious to see that the overwhelming majority agrees. I mean the poll was 68% in favor of no nerf. We have to respect those results. Cody the op is an alpha player after all so he obviously knows what he is talking about."
Coming up next, dedicated crucible player with 2.5 kd is livid when his job application was turned down at the grocery store down the street. We'll dive further in to that story soon enough.
