3 RespuestasIt is 4K and liquid cooled and the frame rate is amazing personally is recommended it but also consider the next gen
-
I’d wait for the true next gen.

5 RespuestasUp to you, but keep in mind that a next gen Xbox is coming at the earliest next year.

I have both ps4 and Xbox one and honestly I play Xbox more. It really depends on both where your friends play and games you like. Yea ps4 has more exclusives but none of them other than Spider-Man and god of war really grabbed my attention. Nowadays all the main games are on both systems so you wouldn’t really miss out that much

1 RespuestaNo. If your after the very best in console gaming right now your better off buying the PS4, PSVR, Aim controller and Firewall: Zero Hour bundle.

You will need a 4K HDR tv to really get the best out of it.

Well it is the best console on the market right now in terms of power. If you are a playstation user, stick with playstation. If you are an xbox user and looking for an upgrade, I would wait because the next gen consoles will be approaching and 500$ right now isnt a great deal. If the price drops to 400 or even lower, sure.

Only reason I’d buy the X would be for storage, but The reinstall routine isn’t that bad. I’d suggest the S.

I bought the Xbox one X the day it came out and it was worth the buy but I wouldn’t get it unless you can take a $500 hit. Most games don’t look that much better. The HDR is the only thing that makes all the games look so good. I’d stick with the normal one or at least get the S version for the 4k blue ray player.

I got the original Xbox (the one that could literally fry eggs lmao) when it came out and hadn’t gotten a new one yet until last year. I worked at a small retail store that game a 33% discount to a single purchase on the day after thanksgiving if you worked that day so I got myself an X. Do I think it was worth it then? Yes. At full Xbox one X price? Definitely no. However many of my friends claim the S is worth the price

3 RespuestasAs an X owner myself I don't think it's worth it. I got mine around Christmas of last year (had money and figured I could give my original to little brother). If you look up articles, it really isn't a huge upgrade, you get enhancements yes, but is it really that superior to other consoles? No. So is it worth spending 500$ for said enhancements? What if you also want the 4k experience (and it can't run "true" 4k by the way but people will keep fighting that)? That also requires another 500$+. Graphically I'd see little reason to pick it up because the standard itself is already in a perfect spot to me, I'd rather they started putting more money into actual performance enhancements that let games run better while also opening the path for devs to put even more Into their games. Think on it, the more a console can handle, the more a dev can put into their games. Alas I don't see that happening cause people are ignorant and want to keep begging for "immersion" over performance. Performance wise I still wouldn't say it justifies it's price. It does speed things up a little, but is the extra 30 seconds of waiting a huge deal? Enough to say "I need to blow hundreds of $ and fix this"? To me no. Excluding 4k, I'd say it could be worth picking up once it's price starts to drop, I myself would recommend saving money and getting the slight downgraded Xbox S that still more than meets standards. You don't need the most expensive things to have fun after all and it's not like the original XB1 or the slim are separated from the X by a huge noticeable barrier.

I'm about to trade in my Xbox for a PS4 next month.

2 RespuestasI don't regret upgrading from the elite console. I enjoy faster load times, less stuttering and better graphics. I also upgraded my tv to 4k HDR soon after purchasing the new X. It would depend on what you want from gaming and your budget.

Unless you want at most minor graphical enhancements compared to the normal Xbox One, you should just pass on the X. It's supposed to be the strongest console to date, but since most games aren't built specifically for it they don't take advantage of everything it can do, which translates to aforementioned minor graphical enhancements.
