Arguments over pve/pvp based rewards are hypocritical

I say this cause there are players out there who enjoy the game for the pvp content that aren't thrilled to play pve content but do for its rewards. I agree that the raid is endgame content so people should play that to get endgame/meta gear, but activities such as: the time based story mission for whispers, EP for its weapons, strikes for exotic catalysts, and etc are all heavy grind pve based rewards that pvp players don't want to grind. So my final statement is this. Yes there is rewards strictly attached to activities you might like doing but others don't, so if you truly want the reward then grind for it, if not then you have to be ok with not getting it do to your dislike for that activity because there are other players out there beside yourself that will gladly grind for it over something else you might happily grind for.

      • True most rewards come from lengthy pve grinds but 25 kills in crucible, hell no!

        • I only agree with you sort of. My issue is that this game has a base pve element and supplementary pvp element. I will say that there should be an option for both sides to choose. Either do the "easier" pvp quest and grind through it for pve players or choose the super hard pve version with a heroic mission or strike. Vice versa for pvp players. Play the mildly difficult pve mission or play the get 100 headshot kills type quest.

          • What you say makes sense. What doesn’t make sense is the overall presentation and marketing of the Ace of Spades being Caydes gun. Think about it Cayde dieing and Uldren has it. In order for us to get it we have to complete quest activities in the crucible? The Gambit 5 HC kills is beyond stupid in an objective based game mode with mainly full fireteams that is not solo friendly. Epic and I mean truly epic cluster frig here.

            • If it wasn’t essentially a story mission I don’t think people would be so worked up. I’m not sure anyone really minds some high end rewards being locked behind a hardcore PvP or PvE grinds that they’ll never do - like redrix or EP or Inaugural or even Acrius - but getting back Cayde’s gun? That’s a very different thing imho. Also if it wasn’t such a a difficult Gambit objective for bad PvP players and crucible wasn’t also stacked (usually literally) against PvP casuals, especially running solo, making it a very sweaty and unenjoyable experience.
