Dear Bungie,
I love Forsaken so far. Will all due respect though, what were you thinking when you made masterwork cores a requirement for upgrading the light level of my gear? I shouldn't need to spend hours grinding just to increase the light level of one piece of my gear by 5 points. We already have to grind for legendary shards and now also the planet unique resources just to get upgrades. Please, either remove the masterwork cores as a requirement for leveling gear or make them much more common. If they are going to be used for upgrading all gear then they would need to be at least as easy to acquire as legendary shards.
Sincerely,
Sangheili Calim

1 RespuestaI have to agree with this. They are slightly too rare. I can understand not wanting everyone to always upgrade equipment with all the randomized perks going around, but give people a fighting chance. I know players who disassembled everything in their bank and updated their equipment through Collections and then ended up blowing the rest of their shards on Masterwork Cores only able to merge maybe 3 items before going broke. It's a lag drag to keep people doing busy work. The game should be fun and not just busy work.

4 Respuestas
I shouldn't need to spend hours grinding just to increase the light level of one piece of my gear by 5 points.
You also shouldn't need to infuse for 5 points. Why bother until you hit the soft cap? Just use what ever drops you get, and only infuse your favorite guns when necessary. They'll probably remove the MC requirements soon, since so many people are complaining about it. I'm just gonna wait it out.

Having myself hit the soft cap, now sitting on 521 light, and run through my considerably large stockpile of cores I had before the dlc dropped... I can say that eventually when you run out the acquisition rate other than via spider is about 1-2 cores every other day, if you’re lucky. This is coming from someone grinding Dreaming City hard and fast. The income of MW cores is slightly too slow to really gear up every time I get a drop BUT this makes it pretty strategic which gear you upgrade and when. I don’t mind the new core setup now that I have played the expansion a bit but it did feel rough initially. Just be patient and make it through the initial growing pains Guardians. A new mindset will settle in and you come to a place where the new system feels natural and rewarding.

2 Respuestasso you are one of those who goes into new content unprepared with resources. sounds like a you issue. cores are sold by Spider, and there is also a consumable called Finest Matterweave that works as 3 of coins did but for cores. it stays active until a core drops. spend wisely.

just wait to infuse, everyone's chasing light right now and will be for the weeks to come. Everyday I'm on I go an see Spider an I buy up to four then buy any planetary materials I can and just stock up on it for use at a later date when it's the god roll.
-
6 RespuestasWhy are people infusing? Just use the rares you get until you hit the soft cap. Infusing before that is just a horrible idea, not just because of masterwork cores but also because of planetary materials.

8 RespuestasDear clown (sp), You should have kept and stockpiled these over the last 6 months, if you were not smart enough too, that is not Bungie problem. If you are a noob, quit complaining, you are new and should you decide to keep playing will come across them as time goes by. Happy trails, guardian.

6 RespuestasInfusing the same gun into itself only cost glimmer. You'll get plenty of dupes and be happier that it is this way.
-
Editado por ShaxxCousin: 9/6/2018 5:57:00 PMYou can buy them from Spider. I agree tho, they should not be needed to infuse.
-
I agree

I think if I infuse weapons of different types(Pulse to Scout rifle for example) then the present economics is fine. But Infusing the same weapon type should be cheaper, costing Glimmer and legendary Shards only. This only comes off about 8 hours playtime. I think I earned 2 Masterwork cores so far(I don't count dismantling Y1 gear) . This economics change will likely make us keep changing weapons instead of infusing, probably Bungies intention.

8 Respuestasyour just a casual complaining, no one values you or your thoughts on the matter. either get good or stop playing. fyi i had 92 masterwork shards with in 3 weeks of purchasing the game, deleted them all to spite some clan members then got back to 24 in 5 days. the fact that you did not have a stock pile of them before forsaken says alot.

16 RespuestasYou can buy the cores from spider I don’t think they’re very expensive I could be wrong though

Spider sells them: 1 core for 10 shards. But the price doubles for each subsequent purchase. The value resets on a daily basis, or so it appears
