It's a bit absurd that there really is no way to be a PvE player, exclusively.
PvP houses some of the best PvE equipment and it's quite non-sensible to have to play crucible to get ahead in PvE content.
Example: Polaris Lance. The Polaris Lance has absolutely no president in PvP, the weapon was designed specifically for PvE so why should we go into crucible to get it?
Solstice armour: Sure, solstice is about reviewing what we've done for the last year but why should I play crucible to get 400 light armour, if light doesn't matter in PvP? Light level exclusively effects PvE content so why should I sit down for 5 wins, 30 super kills, 10 guardian kills, and reach legend rank for armour that won't effect PvP, at all?
Not only are there silly challenges to get ahead in PvE but the crucible engram pool holds weapons that have absolutely no use in PvP but have very high president in PvE like the Better Devils, Nature of the Beast, and Last Perdition. Odds are, if you're a PvE player, you don't enjoy crucible. Yet, you have to play it to get something for your PvE set.
