The orbs created by wearing the full set actually buffs the damage type related.
The set gear actually has a decent set effect.

However that is just for the Event so goes away.

Actually its an effect on the armor itself, and has not been stated as to if it will go away after the event ends or not.

The masterworked final set doesn't create orbs which is what give the bonus effect.

Please post link to video. Searched for 30 minutes trying to find anyone with a full solstice armor set masterworks and couldn't.

I couldn't find any with the masterwork, but plenty with the purple. that being said, the purple set is probably the easiest to complete for the top players (except maybe the Legend rank in pvp) I probably would have it all done except the pvp part if I didn't sleep and stuff
