In D1 I just loved to play solo crucible all the time. I just played what I loved and eventually I would level up by gaining legendary and exotic engrams and getting faction engrams and crucible engrams. It wasn't the fastest way, but I would get to max rank eventually.
To level up in D2 we have to do the milestones. And the biggest part of them just feel like chores.
Yeah, I understand, people will probably say that Destiny is a PvE game and that if you love PvP you should play other games. Well, I came to Destiny because I loved Halo games. And since Bungie used to make Halo I thought Destiny would also be a PvP game. Sorry, my mistake.
But these are the milestones every week. Correct me if I’m wrong:
Raid: PvE with no matchmaking
Nightfall: PvE with no matchmaking
Strikes: PvE with matchmaking
Flashpoint (Patrol): PvE
XP: PvE/PvP
Trials: PvP with no matchmaking
Call to arms: PvP with matchmaking
So for solo players who mostly like to just play crucible you have the Call to arms milestone and eventually you will finish the XP milestone.
Can we get some more? I don’t mind if they are harder than the Call to arms milestone:
- Win 5 clash matches
- Win 5 control matches
- Win 5 weekly featured matches
- Win 5 competitive matches
This doesn’t mean I also wouldn’t mind any more PvE Milestones! I understand there are people who want to get tot he highest rank within a month or two. I’m not one of those people. But at this point I feel like I’m going NOWHERE when I just play the game modes I love.
I want to enjoy Destiny 2 most of all. The less I feel this game is a chore, the better. :)

26 RespuestasMilestones are distributed based on content. There is more pve content so there are more pve milestones. In no way should the game co wider to cater and pamper casual players who want easy milestones like you’ve suggested. What you’ve suggested is more along the lines of bounties, not worthy of powerful gear.
