Huckleberry, Great Gun! Horrible Catalyst...
I love the Huckleberry. Its quickly grown to be one of my favorite exotics in the game, and in turn I wanted the catalyst. I finally got it, and honestly... why does it get ambitious assasin? The gun refills ammo upon kill and you have to manually reload for the catalyst perk to proc. In other words, you'll never have it up until you finish mob killing which the gun is already for. Its pointless on the gun. What the gun really needs to fulfill that power fantasy that the catalysts are supposed to serve is a larger magazine. In my opinion, the catalyst should give it upwards of a 50 round magazine. It would not only make the gun insane in casual play, but in the end game it could have the potential to be worth something. Please Bungie, change the catalyst.

Well I starting to love huckleberry in NF. It helps a lot in public event especially those with high volume of mob keep coming. Does well in some raid too. Keep covering while killing mobs. Normal quest not so much. Bought it from Xur. I haven't check on how to get the catalyst yet.

It’s actually a fun gun with catalyst. If you go on a killing spree and after last kill you have less than 30 in mag then the reload can grant up to 45 in mag. You have to use it right and pick your moment to manually reload it to get most out of ambitious assassin. I’m on console myself but a lot of the YouTube/twitch players love it on pc as recoil nonexistent for them. Works well with hunter dodge to keep rampage and proc aa at same time.

I don’t feel that it’s a bad catalyst just a bad application. Ambitious assassin is good but not reloading is the whole point right. A version of ambitious assassin that fed directly into the current magazine would be awesome and completely unique to this weapon.

Oh my man, if you have a hunter with the catalyst on top of the arms that reload your equipped weapon upon doing melee damage, talk about running and gunning and melting everything in sight. Great gun, I still need the stupid catalyst

I thought it was great. I was using it with the Devour tree while killing adds in Prestige EoW. I rarely had to reload and could run around like a mad man because Devour wouldn't let me die. I agree that having 45 rounds flat would be great, but I think Ambitious assassin is just fine.
