It’s a shame, but no thanks.
I bought Destiny 2, but not the season pass as I was skeptical. I was right to be worried, as the game was terrible, and still is. The 2 DLCs were awful and planned money grabs.
Now Forsaken looks like it might cure a lot of the problems, but there is still 2 main reasons why I won’t be getting it:
1. It’s funny how the free updates just happen to be released at the same time as a DLC. How convenient that the development time of said updates took exactly 1 year... I guess it was impossible to just release updates as they were ready.
In before, ‘releasing updates costs money.’ I don’t care, I had to pay for a horrible game, thinking and being led to believe was a follow on and sequel of Destiny. Bungie should be going out of their way to restore goodwill.
2. The fact that I have to pay for CoS and Warmind to play Forsaken. WTF?! I choose to pass on DLCs, which turn out to be awful but now I have to pay for things I don’t want just to play a game that might now be as good as Destiny was.....
I played A LOT of Destiny and I am absolutely gutted that Destiny had turned out this way but sorry Bungie, with principles and all that, no thanks.

3 RespuestasIn all honesty, here are my thoughts: Destiny 2 is a fukin mess and it isnt going to change. The core components are what they are. The remaining content that they choose to add will be strictly for people who enjoy the game as it is, with some tweaks in there of course. Random rolls wont do much. Itll be the existing perks we have, plus a couple more and there will really be no point to grind for god rolls because crucible will be the same garbage it currently is. The endgame content is the focus going forward, imo, and thats where it should be. There are enough shared world games coming out that Bung knows they wont get too many new players. Personally, I enjoy D2 for what it is, but I have chosen to accept the fact the its not what it used to be. Ive also accepted that Bungi are what they are and it is what it is. When I get really sick of things, Ill stop.

3 RespuestasI know I had a buddy being like 'Nobody is this hard on other developers' That's because other developers release updates for free, and usually weekly. Not to mention they don't inject their games with lesbians and useless character arcs

I flat out just stopped in the middle of the faction rally, because it is so ridiculously boring. I just don't care if I get the Graviton Lance Catalyst. I'm frankly tired of dismantling the endless amounts of useless gear I get. With all the stuff I'm seeing at E3, Destiny 2 looks like a 12 year old game compared what is coming.

4 RespuestasWhich problems do you think Forsaken will cure that you will not have access to? Most of the gameplay changes will be available to everyone without purchase. You will receive all of the updates, just not the DLC content, is that not exactly what you want?

But don’t come on here crying because you expect to play the brand new content without keeping up with the previous content. It was a choice you made.

Only reason D2 still is around is that people still have hopes that the next time it will be ok . the next patch will fix things.. and Friendship will start to drop again.. well im out. I will venture out into other worlds.. were friendship and good loot drops and most important, I don't have to take all the lies, constant dissapointments and bs from Bungo!

I'm tired of destiny 2 haters(still on destiny 2 forums though cause that makes sense?) thinking they can tell people what they can and can't enjoy, what they shouldn't spend their money on, and what the devs should do. It's not your game it's theirs. And people are free to make their own decisions. If they want to enjoy D2 cool. If they want to spend money on forsaken cool. If they don't, cool. 2 RespuestasIf I didn't blindly buy the last 2 DLCs of pre-order I don't think I would be continuing on with this game. They really slide at their fan base and don't seem hard pressed to reconcile besides putting out more content. No explanations, no apologies, no admittance to wrong doing with the throttling and underhanded tactics. Not to mention that the upcoming Anthem game as promised No Loot boxes, only upfront Aesthetics for sale. I can get behind that, Bungie is always going to have a scheme of some sort and this time it's paying for old crap in order to get to the good stuff. Why would I try to entice somebody to return to Destiny when it cost a hundred sixty bucks to do it. It's nonsense

Forcing customers, who made the right decision to hold off on buying terrible DLCs, to now purchase them in order to finally get some meat out of this game is a pretty shitty move to say the least. There is no defending this. CoO was embarrassingly horrid (Warmind is good only by comparison), and one would expect a developer to own their mistakes and give something back to those who continued to support them through a constant string of screw ups. Nope. Pay me bitch. You wan't your April update, too? You know the drill, $on.

3 RespuestasFeel very similar what bungie is offering in comparison to other games does not see worth the price they are asking. Massive ubisoft is giving free dlc every 3 months with the division 2. Call of duty is even giving free dlc. So bungie is saying youve payed 60 for a incomplete game and 40 for 2 shallow dlc now pay another 40 to bring it back to were d1 left you and another 30 to continue playing the year. I love destiny but that's not a value so i will wait to buy destiny 2the complete collection for 40$. Like they sold destiny 1 after roi

Bungie is a year too late to even think this net DLC will significantly improve this game and are fooling gamers. This next DLC is going to have so many issues that it will add on top of the issues the game has already that they won't get to. Mainly due to the fact that they literally have shown this last 8 months that (they can not keep up with this game.) Their motto is to push content out and will maybe fix it later. It's a pattern they have been doing since TDB released. About time Bungie gets some of the issues fixed to where the DLC will be bearable? Anthem will have been released.

9 RespuestasWhen people look at other games such as No Mans Sky (which flopped harder than D2) and the Division (didn't flop as bad as D2), and how those games are "making it up to their customers," is it really too much to expect a bone thrown our way? Then look at games like MHW which is offering updates and DLC for free with zero micros, or a game like Anthem coming out with no PvP to possibly interfere with the power economy, cosmetic only micros, and no loot boxes. I'd say it's the market coming to bear. Why should I buy your game when that game is offering more value and no "hidden" paywalls?

I bought the Season Pass. The game and the DLC's are a joke. Now they want to fix everything and time the fixes to drop with an Expansion... Pay for the Expansion to get the game they [b][i][u]should have delivered on launch[/u][/i][/b]... No thanks. Bungie has become one of [i]those[/i] developers. I don't care what they do - I will not buy Forsaken... Even for $5 three months after release.

Your first reason has always been that. What I don't get us how it's a bad thing. It's convenient, but it's not like it changes anything. All those QoL updates are free aren't they? It's not like you need to buy the expansion to enjoy them.

im with you brother. biggest waste of a 100 dollars in my life was on this game. I was thinking about Forsaken but I told myself ill wait a month and play catch up if turns it to be good so far though in the screen shots im seeing the same boring perks that are in the game already. unless the perk system is getting overhauled too i will just stick with d1 and wow until division 2 comes out there going to have 8 man raids and promised year 1 content is going to be all free
